Celebration of Jay1の発売から6年。
DJ Mitsu the Beatsが、自身の音楽人生で最も影響を受けたプロデューサー"Jay Dee/Jay Dilla"へ捧げるソロ・アルバム『Celebration of Jay 2』をリリース！！

Dillaの影響を受けながら"音楽”を模索し続けてきたMitsu the Beatsの今現在の "音楽" をDillaに捧げる全20曲のコンセプチュアル作品。
今回、ジャジースポート シモキタザワの5周年に合わせ、4月4日(土)より限定販売いたします。

〈DJ Mitsu the Beatsからのコメント〉
『初めて聴いたのがどの曲だったのかは覚えてはいませんが、はっきりとその存在を意識したのは "Slum village-Fantastic Vol.2"でした。 それまでも数々の名曲を生んでいるし、未発表曲集も含めてかなりの数の曲を聴いてきました。ただ、自分にとっての "Jay Dee / J Dilla" という存在は "Slum village-Fantastic Vol.2" と "Welcome 2 Detroit" に全て集約されていると考えています。自分の音楽人生でここまで影響を受けた人はいませんし、これからも無いと思います。それまで誰の影響も受けずに曲を作る事をモットーとして制作に励んできましたが、彼を認識し、その独自の世界に虜になってしまってからは、影響を受けずにはいられませんでした。極限まで固くタイトなドラムをクオンタイズに捕われずに打ち込み、サイン波をベースに利用し、フィルターのかかったサンプルを重ねる。それまで聴いた事の無い空間の使い方、ラフでいて繊細なそのスタイルは今の自分の礎となっている事は間違いありません。 今まで誰かの為に曲を作る事はあってもアルバムを捧げた事はありませんでした。しかし彼が亡くなって以降、心の師として今でも尊敬して止まない彼の為に、そして自分の今を確認する為にもずっと作りたいと思っていました。このアルバムは彼の真似をしている訳ではなく、自分が影響を受けながら模索し、今現在こうなったという姿を捧げる物です。』

On the heels of his installment of the Baker's Dozen, Budamunk has combined his talents with Tony Suggs, provider of the keys to Roy Hargrove's 'RH Factor' as well as the Count Basie Orchestra. T. Suggs has also collaborated with the Manhattan Transfer, Patti Austin, and Marlena Shaw among others. 'Thank and Gro' realizes a robust yet soothing sonic environment distilling elements transcending time, location, and genre. Instrumental additions provided by Ameen Saleem, Satoshi Yoshida, Kenji 'Jino' Hino, and Patriq Moody. Phonetic accompaniments courtesy of Iman Omari and T.I.V.E. DJ YUZE on the cuts.  A peace to surly peek interest of connoisseurs throughout the many audible hemispheres.
