Early works of psychotic surge in collaboration with * From Hawai'i. This work is heavily based in translating the concrete poetry of the @bombooksurge (Instagram) to the sonic realm. There is the intrusion of a tarot reading in most if not all of the tracks, take it as you may. Their meaning is up for interpretation. 

As an early-experiment in anti-music with a studied musician, the poetry structure that refuses to fit the recognizable musical constructions is responsible for that feeling of awkwardness while still following a non-metric, non-rhymed flow of actualization.

Title track ‘Siberian Express’ begins blissfully with a hypnotic melody that leads into a deep swelling bass, a forceful beat and intricate layers of warbling keys. An epic breakdown rises from grumbling synths culminating with Jamie’s signature bassline and spacey stabs, as powerful builds fall in and out of play. On the flip, ‘Captain Kirk’s Battle Dance’ is solid and rolls with infectious looped basslines that steers through trippy FX. On a darker tip, ‘The 16th Floor’ is rich and deep with mesmerising synths, layered throughout over a tight groove.

o+ Undoubtedly the pioneer of the new wave of house music, Jamie Jones is a force to be reckoned with. Alongside running Hot Creations and sub-label Hot Trax, Jamie has also started his new label Emerald City, which will release music with a greater crossover appeal. 2015 has brought forward a huge output of music from Jamie including a stunning collaboration with Kate Simko, London Electronic Orchestra and Jem Cooke on Emerald City followed by the next huge hit from his band Hot Natured called ‘Off World Lover’. Not to mention this impressive solo three tracker on Hot Creations.

o+o Aside from spending hours in the studio and managing an intense touring schedule, Jamie also runs his night Paradise at DC10, arguably the most popular weekly night in Ibiza. Its safe to say there is no sign of slowing down for Jamie any time soon.

Kill Frenzy returns to Street Tracks with another set of killer club tracks.  

With a musical pedigree that has stretched across labels like Dirtybird, Turbo Recordings, Relief Records and Pets Recordings, the Belgian producer drops a trio of peak time stompers for Waze & Odyssey’s Street Tracks imprint.

‘Saint Laurent’ bears its techno teeth, as a raw and jackin’ beat is pounded out over pummeling toms and piercing rides, its vocal hook delivered with nefarious tones.  The tempo remains pacey on ‘Drums From the Machina’, as a buzzing lead line stutters over marching drums, whilst ‘de_aztec’ gets wild and wigged out with a kooky synth motif and more of those precision, driving, Kill Frenzy drum beats that’s becoming a real signature of his sound.
