"Four of 140’s most cutting-edge producers join Romulus Records’ diverse roster to slice open Nova’s ‘Glisten’ EP. Sink into the haze of inner-city skanking with skyline trap and deep dubstep basslines from Nova, Saule, Somah and Meddem. Low frequency streams of oil-rainbow smoke spill across the A-side in Saule’s ‘Ghosted’. Nova’s title track, ‘Glisten’, circles the dojo with fixed eyes, synchronising adventurous pan drums with pounding 808’s. Excavating glimmers of Bollywood, Nova’s hydraulic drill, ‘Win U Back’, bounces rock steady.

Reilluminating ‘Glisten’, Somah’s blade leaves only the necessary: huge, off-beat 808’s, rolling hi-hats and hypnotising percussive melodies. With one hand on the pitch fader, Meddem takes ‘Win U Back’ for a slow and steady joyride across the EP’s thickest basslines yet. Enveloping the forefront wax is traditional Japanese artwork on both an exclusive poster and full sleeve design envisioned by Charlie Stopford.
