Through stories, songs, and poetry, cultural heritage is passed down and preserved. Literally translating to “I want to live”, Quiero Vivir is a testament to how music is a both a lifeline for cultures across time and a conduit through which personal identity and a sense of belonging is expressed. Inspired by nomadic musicians in the Balkan states who, finding themselves out of work after the dwindling Ottoman Empire had no more use for its military bands in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, started up their own bands to fuse elements of military music with local folk traditions.

A collaborative release from Lannka and ARKADYAN, Quiero Vivir is a celebration of brass instruments such as trumpets, tubas, and saxophones, with electronic sounds and percussive embellishments from darbukas, djembes and congas.

Thomas Gandey, the British electronic composer, producer, vocalist, keyboard player, and DJ, adds his creative prowess to the collaboration. Gandey has achieved cult status worldwide with his releases featuring electro futurisms, captivating electronic narratives, vintage synth-led cosmic voyages, and his signature blue-eyed electronic soul. His recent releases on esteemed labels like Innervisions, Kompakt, and Decca have garnered a dedicated global following. Alongside his successful career as a DJ and live artist, Gandey has held residencies at renowned venues such as Space Ibiza, Barcelona's Razzmatazz, and Womb in Tokyo, accumulating an impressive resume of over a thousand shows worldwide. UCHA has made his mark in the world of deep, hypnotic electronic music, collaborating with artists like Tube & Berger and garnering support from top DJs including Claptone and Carl Cox, cementing his sound as a sought-after inclusion in DJ sets. While growing his fan base, Ucha has played sets at top live events and shared stage with top DJs as Bob Sinclar,  Boris Brejcha, The Blaze, Monolink, Breakbot and many more in countries such as Georgia, Austria, Netherlands and Azerbaijan. Further, in 2023, he accumulated over 2 million streams and 340,000 listeners on Spotify, earning him a feature on the Spotify ‘Tantra’ and other editorials and top artists ID playlists like ‘Dunes’ and Black Coffee. I infuse a full amount of energy in each set because life is energy and power. Come and travel. Beware of the dark passages along the way where we have to go deeper in and look around.
