This is a piece I wrote originally called "Re-Cognisance", about getting back to understanding the truth.  Melanie Scholz put some beautiful lyrics to the tune and recorded this version on her "Living Standards" album.  The track features Melanie Scholtz on Vocals, Charles Lazar on Double Bass, Jonno Sweetman on Drums, Buddy Wells on Saxophone, and Andrew Lilley on Piano. 
The tune has also been recorded by Nonthuthuzelo Puoane under the title "Joy". 

10 Meditation on a lost love

This is a track I wrote and recorded in 2003 with Tribe.   Charles Lazar on Double Bass, Kesivan Naidoo on Drums, Mark Fransman on Piano and Buddy Wells on Sax.  Its about the fact that all have a lot in common.  

We all Love the Sun

This track is a track I wrote and recorded with Tribe in 2003.It is dedicated to my friend the late Moses Mololekwa, one of South Africa's finest composers and musical innovators.I still miss Moses as a friend and I miss playing music with him. Nommo Blues (Blues for Moses)

This is a track I wrote for a Compilation album of Cape Town Jazz on the African Cream Label called "Jazzing and Jiving.  The Cape Town Sessions".  This track Features Andrew Lilley on Piano.  Shane Cooper on Double Bass, Barry van Zyl on Drums and Buddy Wells on Saxophones.  The opening section is inspired by the African Gospel Choir music I used to listen avidly to on the radio when I was a boy.  This track is called Goema for a Change for a few reasons.  It is written in the hope of change for the better.  It is also unusual and refreshing to be asked to write a Goema track for and album "for a change".  Also the track itself goes through many changes.
