Not only that - today's artwork has been made by another close friend of mine, Jakob Okkenhaug, from Norway. I've known Jakob for many years, and I remember one time he told me about a mix he was making called 'Oh Shit There's A Horse In The Hospital'. From that point I knew we'd be friends for life.

I have more guests lined up, and I am truly honoured to have my friends in here taking over the controls today...

It's surprise guest day! I'm proud to present to you my good friend and one time flatmate/colleague Andy Telling, otherwise known as Lucasse. We met when I was working in Banquet Records in Kingston, and after some lengthy discussions about effects pedals/Prefuse 73/Mice Parade, we found much common ground and jammed a few times. The flatmate days were when I was living above noise-complaint guy. Andy's now making really lush post rock inspired guitar/electronic textures, editing videos and scoring them, and I can safely say he is good people.

He submitted this track for my guest day today, and the artwork is from Jakob Okkenhaug, who submitted the photography for Day 75, guest day with 2econd Class Citizen.

This is a collage of recordings taken from the last year or so. I could have taken the last installment in any direction, I know! I just wanted to make something special, personal and with some area atmospherics inside it. I really hope you like it.

I honestly didn't set out with any particular results in mind, or to make any conclusions - it was more of an exercise in entertaining my ADD side (I have a long attention span but sometimes it just completely strangles the other side!) and to see if I could work to a strict, prescribed set of rules and deadlines. It was lovely being able to include some friends (2econd Class Citizen, Aupheus and Lucasse) and test some ideas - some new and some from years ago. Some days took hours and hours and some days, not so long. However it happened, it's been an incredible few months for so many reasons, and I'd like to thank you - YOU - personally for listening/reading, and send out my love to my friends and cherished ones who I have met along the way.

I call this project 'You Don't Have To Do This...'

I started this back on 1st September 2010, with the idea of creating 60 seconds of music each day for 100 days. I used samples and instruments (and lots of different media), and a variety of recording methods and techniques to create each piece. I wanted to experiment but also rock some ideas I'd been holding onto for a while, and also involve a few friends at various points when the main body of work had been established - I credit each guest on their respective tracks so definitely peep them too!

I presented the entire set of 100 minutes in a hand crafted CD box-set, with CD's, a cassette, prints, slides, a cassette and loads more...

I really hope you like these, it was a lot of fun and a nice way of exercising some self-imposed discipline! Cheers all, thanks kindly for the airtime!
