“Thinking about the summer and the carnival nostalgia, i made this set in a sunset mood, imagining a super lively dancefloor. For that, i chose an eclectic repertoire passing through reggae, axé, electro, boogie, synth, predominantly of brazilian music, but with some foreign surprises to increment the set

Nascida e criada em São Paulo, SP (BR), Giulia sempre esteve cercada por um ambiente sonoramente estimulante, mas foi só em 2022 que começou sua experiência na discotecagem, quando morou Campinas, SP. Nesse mesmo ano, teve a oportunidade de me somar ao coletivo Vicious Sounds, junto com Dark Buda e Chave Confia, projetando pela primeira vez enquanto artista, levando o nome de Djulha, se aventurando por todo tipo de som: do house, passando pelo dub, até o electro e techno. Sua intenção como DJ é dar vazão ao máximo do potencial de criação por meio da música.

For this edition SLIC member SENU invited Edna Martinez. Both selected 10 vinyls from the huge collection of the museum.
@ednamartinezdj is a DJ and Music curator at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin. Martinez was born in the Colombian Caribbean and takes audiences on an intercontinental musical journey, infusing her performances with African, Caribbean, Arabic sounds and rhythms from a range of styles and periods. She is the woman behind projects like: El Volcán, el Orgullo de Berlin, a unique night in Germany that showcases picó Sound System culture from the Colombian Caribbean, and LatinArab which trades the Arab migration in the Colombian Caribbean and its diaspora.
