I made this beat about a year and a half ago in my old room at UCSD. I was chilling with my old roommate Dean, making music on his keyboard. Out of the beats I've made, this one was definitely one of my favorites. A couple months ago I finally decided to write some lyrics to it and record a rough mix with my cellphone mic. There's probably a little more Autotune on it then there should be, and the whole track isn't mixed that well, but I've probably listened to it a couple hundred times by now. I've been meaning to get this track done in the studio but haven't been able to get down to it. Later this month I'll have my equipment and should be able to get some more tracks out. I have a whole script written out for this track, and want to back down to San Diego soon to shoot it.

The cover photo was taken at Grizzly Peak in Berkeley with my old roommate Nolan, who also came up with the hook, "And it's cool but it's all we know." This song will always remind of me of this transitional period of my life.
