From his uni days in England Bucharest native Victor Ernuteanu has been known as Guy From Downstairs. This producer first, DJ second has a unique ear for sound and over the years has been able to collect together the absurd and abstract and couple them together to form some of the most impressive sounds to emanate from the Romanian capital in recent times. Being influenced from everybody from Michael Jackson to MF Doom and everybody and anything in between GFD has a whole suitcase full of curveballs ready to throw your way.

As you might expect from an artist that has released on a section of labels such as QNQN, RAWAX, Curtea Veche, Acme, The Other Side, Robsoul, Pleasure Zone, and his own GFD imprint his sound palette is wide and varied. This varied approach is laid bare in all its electronic goodness on his instalment in our InSession podcast series. From laidback deepness to break fuelled heaters, acid soaked bangers and of course Romanian minimal, all are expertly stitched together.

Jean-Guillaume Cabanne is Telegraph’s kingpin artist, with six EP releases, as well as six of his tracks, in solo or with David Gluck as Ultrakurt, featuring on the Post Office compilations. On Logistic, he has co-produced the Blackstage album with John Thomas. His releases on Telegraph, 7th City, Karat or Perlon (with Ark as Copacabannark) have made him one of the most forward-thinking artists of the scene. He was part of the first live presentation of the Narod Niki project at Montreal’s MUTEK last installment, along with Dandy Jack, Dimbiman, Luciano, Daniel Bell, Richie Hawtin, Akufen and Ricardo Villalobos. Cabanne is also a trained jazz guitarist.

Presenting Hostox for our second instalment of Select Acetics. Born in Transylvania and raised on the small island of Ponza where the underground scene was nonexistent. Despite this, Hostox has become one of the greats from the minimal scene with a number of cult classic releases such as his Smile Back EP and Rumours EP. This mix captures Hostox's instantly recognisable sound with an abundance of warm bass lines and stripped back drums.
