Plavas Beach resident Closed Paradise has been a constant source for deep and ethereal midtempo house jams over the last few years. His most recent effort, the Praise EP, on FINA Records is no different. 

While the A-Side is occupied by the Ben La Desh-esque deep house tackle "Praise", our premiere comes from the B1 slot. "Demon Avenue" initiates with sirens and street car sounds before building in with a brooding, lush synth paired with looping vocals and a thumping bassline. Once the drums kick in, the influence is clear; Homework era programming is all over the percussion and arrangement. A sinister lead and filtered samples enter the fray at the climax of the track to really ice this beefy French House cake.

German DJ and production duo Tube & Berger are set to release their long awaited debut album Introlution, mixing acoustic chords with electronic beats to create an organic and beautifully crafted listen. 
Now Kittball Records is ready to release Tube & Bergers debut album. Introlution is a sophisticated and well constructed body of work displaying an innate ability to convey mood, great vocals and plenty of emotion.

Three years on from his latest solo outing, Crazy P founder member Chris Todd AKA Hot Toddy returns to House of Disco with a predictably fine four-tracker. Our pick of a very strong bunch is the toughened up, revivalist electrofunk flex of "Wilde Touch", where clipped guitar riffs, crunchy Clavinet lines and colourful melodies ride a rubbery bassline, though the Paper Recordings-era Crazy P deep house/disco fusion of "Still We Are" is almost as impressive. Speaking of Crazy P, lead singer Danielle Moore lends her distinctive vocals to the Imagination-ish Brit-boogie business of "Positive Emotion", while the EP's other track, opener "Synthesize", is a darker and more spaced-out chunk of weighty, bassline-driven nu-boogie goodness.
