We are back with our show at Rinoceronte FM Radio and our Series!

To kick off two Play Pal Artists who released an outstanding ep on Play Pal earlier on this year, FLXXX. A duo formed by Andrés Gómez and Alfredo Cárdenas, two good friends who've been making music together since 2014 and are definitively walking into the scene with the right foot. 

Their ep on Play Pal and another one on Nein Rec., gives you a good example of what these two friends from Mexico are capable of doing in the studio. With a strong influence of rock in their musical taste, they combine that with their passion for synths and lower tempos, a cocktail we just love at Play Pal!

Ombra International are the mysterious collective that have been exploring the outer reaches of electronic music together since the back end of 2016.

Italian for shadow, Ombra self-describe themselves as "united by lust and fury" and "together alone", delivering an output that's an avant-garde force of unfamiliar comfort.

Since forming, the Berlin collective have put out music by Curses, Mondowski, K-Effect, Cannibal Ink, Perel, Dawn Again and more on a series of various artists releases. They bring together artists from around the world who share roots in post-punk, wave, and other weirdo guitar music, mixing it with Italo, the darker side of disco and electro.

MOTEL77 is the new duo revealed by the infamous French label La Dame Noir. Behind that name, Thoma Cher & Charp, 2 DJs who have been key players in Shanghai underground scene for the last decade. They hold many years in residencies at several influential clubs in the city. While Charp has toured all over the main Asian clubs (Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Beijing, Hanoi), Thoma Cher released vinyl records on Nu Disco top labels and his first EP was charted in the best of 2017 of Juno Records. They came together last year to create MOTEL77, a Dark Disco act "for those who like to keep their leather jacket on the dance floor" (Trax Magazine 2018). Dark, deep, physical, but focused on groove. "A standout package of machine-made disco with a space edge”.

The history of the DJ duo and couple Local Suicide stretches back to 2009. Since they meet, Munich-born Brax Moody and Thessaloniki native Vamparela have collaborated together on projects ranging from DJ sets and bands to remixes and music production, all culminating in the conception of Local Suicide in Berlin. The rhythm and dynamism of Munich’s burgeoning hip-hop scene is merged with the grit of the back-alley indie clubs lining the streets of Vamparela’s hometown to give birth to the distinctive Local Suicide sound, an energetic fusion of New Wave, Slow Techno, Post-Disco, EBM and Acid that they themselves like to call “Cobra Wave” and “Technodisco”.

You can rest assured that this couple is at the very peak of their game. Their DJ career has carried them to all four corners of the world, whipping crowds into a frenzy at Lollapalooza, Melt!, Amsterdam Dance Event, Off Sonar, Festival Forte, Berlin Festival and almost every club the German capital has to offer. Their live cuts have been honed to perfection with years of shows alongside the very best in the scene, even being invited by New Order to warm up for their live performance. This hectic schedule has taken them across Europe, Asia, North Africa, South America and the United States, all whilst holding down their day jobs in the music industry. Leaving the DJ booth, however, does not mean they are leaving their comfort zone. As the faces behind some of the most prolific parties Berlin has to offer, these two were the driving forces of the now infamous T.O.F.U (Too Old For Understatement) parties for example, which are just one of the many marks that they have left on the Berlin underground scene.
