Alleyway (STBB 937)

Submission for NearTao's first Uncarved Block community event. Track was constructed (almost) entirely from sample chops with the source material (stems, one shots) provided by NearTao from one of his Jamuary tracks - the only added sound was the bass, which is a simple saw wave, pitched low, and swept with a LPF.

This block has now been carved up.

Feels like this thing is going to become incredibly important to me in my audio adventures because I fucking love it and will fight 5 men at once to hold on to it... and I promise I will win (because I fight dirty and also did I mention I fucking love this thing?).

A little messy; my signature style, apparently. Second go with the SP-404 MKII. My excuse this time is I'm experimenting with different ways of getting these tracks recorded.

Made for Dibia$e Flip Sessions #24 using a combination of the SP-404 MKII as a jumpoff point for chops and some initial FX, and then sequenced, mixed, and further dirtied up on the MPC Live 2 in standalone using 3.x firmware.

Submission for NearTao's second Uncarved Block community event. Track was constructed (almost) entirely from sample chops with the source material (one shots, converted into MPC keygroups by me, and then arranged into an entirely new composition) provided by NearTao from one of his previous tracks - the only added sound was the bass, which is just an MPC keygroup.
