Bugged are the pairing of two UK producers/DJs hailing from the northwest of England. The pair
met whilst working together and it was from that point on after discovering they both had a passion
for techno music they decided to form a partnership. It didn’t take long for the duo to have a taste of
success as they achieved a Beatport top 100 with their track entilted “Crank it” which was snapped
up by Umek for his 1605 music therapy label. The track featured on the wake me up at 16:05
compilation along side some of the biggest techno producers in the scene, and their track received
huge support by the techno big guns.
Bugged had their first release only a few months after producing with an EP entitled
“Intensity”. Signed by Progrezo records, it featured the tracks “Cyclone” and “Intruder”. But it was
“Cyclone” that got all the attention and it was played by Spartaque and Pedro Delgardo on their
radio shows. “Cyclone” also got selected for the label’s 4 year celebratory compilation release.
Their first ever remix was for Scott Harrington and Greg Mak’s “6 million” track on Progrezo
records. The remix was then followed by their “Dark matter” track, which featured on the “Sample
Red”compilation also for Progrezo records. The pair then had their next track entitled “King Kong”
signed by Speca records and was remixed by Skober and Antoni Bios. Their Next track “Punch
drunk” was also signed to Speca records which received some huge support and was charted by the
likes of tomy Declerque and played on his guest mix for Manchester Global radio. Punch drunk was
also remixed by Galan and Krestovsky.
Next up was the release of “The Asylum” which was signed by LCMTC records, which also
received massive support. Soon after that came their second remix, which was a
track entitled “House party” for Pilbus records. Their Next release shortly after was an EP entitled
“Darkcode” which was released by Finetool records and featured the tracks drop time and winder,
but it was drop time that received the most support and achieved a top 2 position in the techno top
100 on dj download digital record store. The pair have also featured as guests on the popular local
Manchester global radio show. Bugged are continually working hard in the studio and they have a
number of tracks ready to unleash in the next few months so watch this space.
