Bug
-an error, flaw or fault in a system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways.

Bug is a multifaceted, non-medium specific, online gallery.  We curate shows of editioned artist collaborations that find their gallery space around the person rather than within the confines of the white cube.  Our work may take the form of clothing, furniture, a music release, a sculpture; the project designates the material.  Bug is a peer-to-peer call and response chant, a way to sit on the edge of institutional power structures.  To counter the well-documented wastefulness of the fashion industry, Bug strives to source recycled, vintage, and deadstock fabrics.  The vintage component of our store serves as an encyclopedia of aesthetic moments we find culturally significant, encouraging ideas and discourse through this visual history.  

Bug is a community-based project in which artists of all cultural backgrounds and exposure can have a voice.  It is a place to learn from one another, have discussions, and make mistakes.  We are each other’s greatest mirrors.  To the ego it looks like miracles or accident, but you are a totally determined being. See you along the road towards the center that took forever.
