Chungo - Let U Forget [Dudbridge Garage International]

From end to end the street was filled with all your wants and needs. You could get practically anything and everything here: sweet spices in beautiful packages; well-loved clothes; hordes of bric-a-brac; dusty vinyl and tapes; hot homemade dishes from all over the world. Each vendor had their own specialty or expertise; nobody stepped on anybody's toes, there was no sense of competition. They were one huge family who looked out for one another.

Dudbridge Garage International return for their last release of the year courtesy of their own co-head Chungo. Alongside fellow label boss LeftLeft, the Lisbon-based artist has moulded the label into a platform for expertly produced UK bass and garage - you'll know a Dudbridge release when you hear it. On the sixth release Chungo draws on these sounds in his own singular way. Over the course of three tracks he showcases his precision at sound design, matching signature chopped and screwed vocals with heavy bass lines and crisp, swung drum patterns.

Dudbridge Garage International label co-head Chungo unveils a colossal dancefloor anthem with his Baile Funk infused single 'Solo Por Te'. Taking heavy influence from shuffling Brazilian Funk rhythms that draw parallels with the producer's usual UKG stylings, Chungo delves into this genre with ease, offering up a bass-heavy and hook-heavy summer heater.

The release marks the second instalment in the burgeoning label's new single series, following up from LeftLeft's infectious UKG production 'GFS' that released in late 2023. Here the other half of DBG and Scuffed Recordings alumni Chungo takes front and centre with an undeniable crowd mover.

Frankie Bromley a young man at the age of just 17 years old hailing from Manchester UK. It started for Frankie back in 2010 when his brother showed him electronic music which he had never heard before and the first time hearing it he instantly fell in love, from then he began DJING on a pair of turntables at just the age of just 9 then started collecting records from the genres of electro and drum and bass then progressing into Techno which is where he found his identity as a DJ and producer, still to this day DJs on any digital platform and of course turntables.

Production didn’t start for Frankie until the age of 13 when he started teaching himself music theory and getting really in depth as he grew older which has led him into his own path, also spends everyday in his studio making new ideas and trying to push boundaries within the techno scene & with already gaining big support from Chris Liebing and many other world class DJs, Frankie is one to look out for in the future of Techno.

Frankie has always had a deep & dark sound about him and his music but with this big energy that words can’t explain it’s only when you enter his world and see him DJ or perform live sets that you can feel this energy which brings a dark deep & heavy hypnotising trip.

Frankie Bromley is an 18-year-old vinyl-only techno DJ and producer from near Blackpool, UK. His sound is distinctly 4/4, hypnotic and minimal. He’s played extensively in Manchester and London at the likes of Eastern Bloc and Jaded. Frankie has had support from senior figures in the techno industry such as Ben Klock, Richie Hawtin and particularly Chris Liebing, who Frankie has developed a friendship with. I think it’s without a doubt that we can expect a bright future in the techno community from this young man.

"In this mix I didn’t really go into it with any particular direction in mind. It was made just for some fun and as something to listen back to so I can see where I can improve on my mixing. I pulled 18 records out randomly and I felt the vibe worked quite well all the way through! I wanted to try and keep it rolling but also to have fun and experiment with my mixing. There's plenty of music in here from my favourite producers such as Conforce, Reeko & Oscar Mulero."

Rising talent Frankie Bromley steps up for episode 39 of our FWP series with an hour long vinyl only mix.

A young man who's passion and love for techno does not go unseen. Since being introduced to electronic music at the age of 9 by his older brother, he soon developed a keen ear for electronic music which ultimately lead him down the path of DJing and production. 

Now 19, Frankie's productions have already drawn support from some of the scenes biggest names such as Chris Liebing, Radio Slave and Richie Hawtin amongst others. 2020 has seen him take up a residency with Berlin based label Codec and 992 and also launch his own imprint, 'affect-ion'.

hailing from a modest town in the north-west of England, Frankie Bromley's profound passion and love for techno and electronic music are unmistakable. Introduced to the electronic soundscape at the age of nine by his elder brother, Frankie swiftly cultivated a discerning ear, setting the stage for his venture into music production and DJing during his formative teenage years.

Frankie's musical narrative blossomed notably through his sustained engagement with Manchester's renowned Eastern Bloc record store. Establishing meaningful connections with industry authorities at the store, he earned the opportunity to showcase his talents through vinyl performances at their in-store events. Before reaching the age of 18, Frankie took to the stages of London's Egg Club and Corsica Studios.

In the pivotal year of 2021, Frankie Bromley signed a deal with CLR Records, a label under the stewardship of the esteemed German figure, Chris Liebing. His inaugural EP named Forgiveness, released in September 2021, marked CLR Records' return to techno after a five-year hiatus. As one of the emerging talents in the scene, Frankie's association with the label heralds positive developments for the future.

Venturing beyond the UK in 2022, Frankie embarked on his first international gigs, captivating audiences in Switzerland at the renowned D Club alongside Terrence Fixmer and Chris Liebing. Notably, he shared the stage once again with Chris Liebing in Frankfurt, his hometown.

What lies ahead for Frankie Bromley? Having dedicated several years to distancing himself from the music industry and immersing solely in the pursuit of music production and audio engineering, Frankie's forthcoming creations and artistic endeavors are poised to be a source of admiration and delight in the evolving landscape of electronic music.
