it started with a plastic 24oz jar 
half filled with foamy yellow liquid 
and some very sticky residue at the top

tom of tom and jerry
fame
had one broken ear
he was sitting on the ledge 
of the garage window

I can’t remember what I was doing

but I know I was wearing a 
poultry keel necklace
that laid so elegantly 
over my clavicles

every thought 
every measure 
gets bigger and faster 
and further from the next

plumb shucks said to thumb plucks 
untuck that loose end of the dumpling lover
and wrap some warm rising dough around your head
dumb luck kept ducking under the fun chunks 
until he realized he was bouncing on a shingle instead
he said that’s some kinda skipping slip of the bliss bud

chimichuck said to raisin brains

wrench mouth woman has a heart in her throat
with the wave of her stick arms she weaves me a coat 
the birds that are flying carry sticks to her breast
crescent wrench moon lucky charms and the rest

Feeling Everything, All At Once (RED010)

Setting up a record label isn’t a particularly fast process. It is something we have done before, around 5 years ago at the beginning of all of this, back when we were a lot younger, and in a lot more of a hurry. This time around, we are allowing the process to take the necessary time, as we are more experienced now and have been able to better anticipate the challenges — we are better editors, better mix engineers, better web developers, we’re better connected. While it would be ideal to open with a sense of vindictive furore, and certainly this album is worth some hype and excitement, we understand that at this stage, we need to start the machine running slowly — at this stage, what we do is more akin to planting seeds, building structures, spreading rumours and performing rituals. 

Rose Laurel’s ‘Bereft of Flesh’ is the first move in a three-part opening sequence, the first of three prepared declarations. This trio of editions mark the three vertices of the triadic starting position of être: x, y, z. Once being sets out towards becoming, it can no longer be contained or captured, all we can do is ritualise the opening, as if to pray for a safe voyage. 

We will be using this first encounter to familiarize ourselves with the terrain, to take position in the field, and to feel the current and the temperature. It’s a beautiful 5-track edition, with some bonuses coming soon—all material recorded by an anonymous duo in a digital collaboration, but make no mistake, this edition has  » a lot « of life in its breath.

A binaural soundscape, originally composed as an immersive soundtrack in Dolby Atmos for the short film “Clydebuilt” (2021), sonifies the rich history of Glasgow’s shipbuilding industry. Inspired by the documentaries “Seawards the Great Ships” (Harris, 1961) and “The Men Who Built the Liners” (BBC4, 2009), the piece captures the echoes of the River Clyde’s industrial past. This musique concrète-inspired soundscape weaves together found sounds, field recordings, and archival audio, evoking the spirit of the workers and the rhythmic pulse of the shipyards, once a hub of craftsmanship and industry.
