Buhle Mweli fell in love with music at a very young age yet only successfully engaged with song writing at the age of 21, an experience she describes to have been deeply spiritual. Mweli believes in the power music holds and hopes that through her own compositions, people, will experience and receive that which they are in need of, be it healing, joy or a challenge to a better life. 

Buhle’s music can be described as a smorgasbord of neo soul, afro jazz and the traditional – delicately transitioning between the English language and vernacular.
