"Prog Rocket" is is the Debut track from BMaP's first EP, still currently in production. 

As an introduction to the first album from British NuProg Rockers, Build Me a Planet, not much can be said about "Prog Rocket" apart from "fasten your seat belts". You, dear listener, are in for an auditory journey from the volatile and unpredictable Earth to the mysterious and inspiring stars. 

The tale of a small group of humans, determined to leave the dying world and travel to the depths of space in order to undertake the impossible - the building of a New Earth.

Prog Rocket

The second track of BMaP's first album, "Space Age Porno" is pretty much the most unrelated song-to-title track you'll ever hear.

Except for the wah and expert slap bass, there's not very much thats sexy bout this track dealing with the emotional stresses of leaving earth behind and heading to the stars. 

But then again, it's more than open to interpretation! So maybe this whole thing is a massive metaphor for doing the dirty.

Wouldn't surprise me.

Space Age Porno

BMaP are on a roll! Our third track is actually a 2-for-1 deal, as "Warrior Drums" is by rights a track on it's own. Or somethin'. It's all good.

These two songs tell the next chapter in the BMaP album's story. The last humans aboard the Prog Rocket have found a suitable planet to terraform and build into the New Earth. But things quickly go wrong, as they soon discover they are not alone and the Indigenous Species who call the planet their home are less than happy that they are being invaded. Some may say that war is in our nature. The rest say it is inevitable...

Warrior Drums & The Savage Mind

The Penultimate Track to the "Build Me A Planet" EP is an instrumental, detailing the last battle between the human survivors and the native species. 

It's dark. It's hectic. It's the last chapter of mankind. Where can we possibly go from here?

The Extinction Waltz

The final track of Build Me a Planet's debut EP! It's been an amazing journey, and work on our next collection of tracks is already underway!

Epilogue of Man is a powerful, dark, ominous wrap-up to the BMaP album's storyline. The organiser of the BMaP project is being held to rights, and humanity is accepting it's fate, soul by soul. As our announcer friend says, this is the end...

Epilogue Of Man

Our new track is complete, and with it comes the first of our first FULL LENGTH ALBUM, which will be free for DL and blah blah right here on our soundcloud.

The Album - "Chasing Churchlight" - will focus on the themes of love, hope, faith and religion. And the debut single from the album is this - an exploration into the mind of a person desperate to find higher meaning and faith in some deity, but being unable to due to his overrationalising mind and upbringing.

For this album we've decided to pull back the reigns a little bit, utilising less bizarre "proggy" influences without sacrificing the integrity of the music. I guess you could call it NuProg. So expect less wacky time signature changes and key shifts, but expect more meaningful, musical and enjoyable tracks from us at Build Me a Planet.

All That I Am

'Take Bohemian Rhapsody, for example. Imagine asking someone to do something like that, to make a song that does everything that song does. It's like giving them a bunch of tools and saying "Build Me a Planet".' - A Wise yet Mad guitarist.

Build Me A Planet is an experimental Progressive Rock project, created by a small group of musicians in the middle of the UK. This band of sorts is really only two - maybe three tops - people, and a Macbook Air with occasional Audacity from the bassist. But lets be honest. No one really cares about that. What you listeners care about is decent, modern but REAL Progressive Music, and we here at BMaP hope to at least bring something that slightly resembles just that!
