ABOUT BUKURSON (GOSPEL HIP-HOP MUSICIAN)
An unlikely story stands behind the man known by many as "Bukurson" A.K.A Medicine Man. The name given by his parent is Henry Sunday Bukurson. From the Middle Belt of Nigeria to a leader in the movement of urban reform, a rocky road provides a window into the grace he experienced throughout his life, with every situation molding him into the artist and leader that he is today.

Born and raised by his parents in a struggling nation, Bukurson moved around to several places giving him the versatile background and cultural awareness he carries with him. Jos, Lagos, Kaduna and Abuja have also once been home to him and the street life he once idolized and pursued. Along the way, like many in the Lagos city, he took to rapping as a way of communicating his mind. It wasn't until after high school that his hobby became a passion after his hip-hop background was redeemed by Jesus Christ.

At 13 years old he had a dream where he saw himself ministering a gospel song in a church occupied with millions of congregation. At 21 years old when he already started music in secular perspective, he remembered the dream he had and that made him surrendered to God totally. He realized he’s called for God’s purpose and took up the task of venturing into Gospel Hip-Hop Music. He gave his life to Jesus Christ and followed the leading of the Holy Spirit to guide him in his music career. This life changing incidence made him to participate in several church choirs which include; Christ Embassy, Abuja Choir, Christ Embassy Kaduna (Constitution Road) Choir, and Foursquare Gospel Church, Asokoro, Abuja. 

Calling Garkawa, Plateau State home, Bukurson remained consistent using his gifts of speaking and rapping while seeking out to work as a baker, banking and other jobs, but the Lord would have different plans and soon he began working on his debut "Man with the Medicine". Pouring out a genuine discussion of life issues and passionate, unashamed pursuit of Jesus Christ, Man with the Medicine was pre-released to the world where he quickly became noted as an emcee that would meet listeners where they were by delivering inspiring, transparent, relatable, and impacting messages. 

As Bukurson continued to make his mark in the music industry, he realized he needed to educate himself enough for him to make impact. As a result, he was invited to study Music at Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts. For unforeseen circumstances, he decided not to continue with the school but made another choice which he feels it’s a better option for him. 

Since foundation, Bukurson has released the groundbreaking single “Medicine with the Man” in 2010. Some of his songs are On Top, Mama, Fly in the Wind, Count on Jesus Christ, None like You, Ifunanya, Devil is a liar and Musa. Fly in the wind was the only Christian Rap songs that ever sit on 10th position in studio 100, RayPower 100.5 FM, Abuja. He was interviewed on A.M Express, NTA station, Raypower, Love FM, and others.
In 2012, some major Italian based artistes, Omal Fattore, II Nero and Fria produced a collabor song titled: Musa. And in 2013, the video was produced.
In pursued of his music career at the United States, Bukurson dropped out from the University of Abuja, where he was studying B.SC Political Science. Before his entry into the university, he bagged National Diploma in Mass Communication from Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna, Nigeria.

Bukurson is humbled to be a part of leading others towards Christ so that lives can be changed forever just like his changed years ago. Bukurson prays that the impact from his music will spread far beyond simply the music and into the lives of believers across the world.
