slapped this together while testing my fresh recording setup. did you know that you can use >1 mics to record your drumkit ? that's right, I used TWO SM58's to record the drums. Real, Musician Grade microphones made in the USA with thick musicy cables that  you can measur by the Feet?!!and a 2i2 and everything !! it's just pro musician stuff baby, you wouldn't get it !!!

this is the result of 3 single take recording sessions (drums/pno/bass). drums are acoustic, everything else is midi recorded with my p-115 on some crap presets lmao. no recordings for this one have been spliced/quantized/warped/etc

I was a little disappointed in the lack of bass drum presence in the first mic test, but then I dug up this swag pro-level USB stick mic. every #soundcloudmusicboss should have one of these lil guys in their toolkit

Some cool stuff in this mostly unprocessed recording. I fed all the drums into a master drum track that I plan to splice up and do some harsher production on. but i thought this was a pretty nice solo on its own. enjoy. or don't, i don't give a fuck. stop reading this crap, it's literally my stream of consciousness taking over at this point. i actually don't care about what i'm writing by now; why should you? yeah, that's right. fuck off, idiot.

* i've had this shitty thing for almost a decade. in high school i used it it for gmod voice chat. lord help us
** also, because of ableton/my hardware limitations (ie, too lazy to set up my mixer for recording), i had to record the bass mic through audacity. i should have checked the sampling rate/codec etc both DAWS were using because audacity's raw audio for an approx 16 minute recording session was a few seconds shorter than what ableton gave me. so the bass mic was completely out of sync with the other tracks. that was fun to fix
