Reality itself is subjective,

Existence outside of time -
eternity beckons, sublime
Unbearable crush of existence 
takes its toll on persistence 

As I look up toward the stars,
I feel my body drift apart
My molecules no longer mine,
no sense of self, no sense of time
I become no longer I
I am nothing, I am no-one 

While delving into dreams, 
I drift to the world inside
In realms and scapes reside
There's no such thing as progress,
when there's no such thing as time,
but oh, there's pain

Bummerfest is a one-man music project based in Eugene, Oregon.  The name is a little jokey, but stems from the fact that most lyrics draw from depression as the predominant inspiration.  Other themes include philosophy, spirituality, science, psychology, and atypical mind states.  The musical style focuses on heavy metal, but also incorporates rock, punk, and sometimes even folk characteristics.  Right now this is just me (Nate Crawford) on guitars, bass, and vocals, with AI and manually programmed (MIDI) drums.  More to come soon.
