Danger Dubs and Pirate Cutz owners RossyCee and Sykik have put together a wicked 100% UKG dubplate vinyl promo mix ahead of our launch event in January. Both RossyCee and Sykik are no strangers to the underground club circuit. They have both earned their stripes in the early days of rave (90s). 

RossyCee started Djing at the young age of 14 picking up his first radio slot in the early days of pirate radio he also worked at Nicky Blackmarkets legendary record shop (Blackmarket Records) that is where his love for music began from there he jumped on the Garage circuit and picked up his first ever Club residency at Club Koo and also played at various London clubs back in the day. He is also known for his monster collection of underground House and Garage dubplates and rare gems. 

Sykik also started his Journey in the early days of Pirate Radio and has quite a musical background he was also a part of the early days of Grime and played on iconic Stations such as Deja-vu and also has linked with some legendary artists back in the day such as Dizzie Rascal, Ruff Squad, Nasty Crew. He has also made appearances on BBC 1Xtra. 

RossyCee and Sykik linked a few years back over the mutual love of old school underground House and Garage and teamed up and are currently running 2 successful labels Pirate Records & Danger Dubs releasing regular dubplate and full vinyl runs creating moves on the circuit. we expect everyone to get out on their Dancing shoes ready for our headline set they will bring the heat!

The next mix for our new podcast series was prepared by a man who requires very little introduction within the UK community, DJ Perception. Whether it be through his production, label or radio show, Cameron is one of the true UKG connoisseurs pushing the sound forward. 
He is a self-described “2-step connoisseur” from Camberwell, known in the UKG community as a producer, weekly host on specialist station Vision Radio and owner of record label MoodSwing. Above all, DJ Perception has been a collector from teen years, one who prides himself on material that no-one else has. These are not just obscure gems you can find on Discogs or at Croydon's DnR Vinyl for a price, but stacks of dubplates and DATs that don't exist in the public domain at all, often snapped up in bulk from older artists who got out the game when opportunities in UK garage dried up. His home is a drop-in hub for everyone from foundational producers like Dem 2, Sky Joose and El-B, to younger names in the scene like Ollie Rant, Mick James, Dr Banana and Lady Passion (Cameron's sister, who has been on the decks since age 13 too). 
His production game is just as strong, having carved out his unique and irresistible sound with a deep & soulful aesthetic. His tracks have been released on some of the best labels in the game today including DPR Records, Dr Banana, Rhythm & Vibe, Timehri and his own imprint Moodswing. By the way, on October 27th, DJ Perception releases a debut LP called 'Journey To The Star' on Timehri Records. Don't miss it!
