As to put in his own words: "As a DJ, I got in touch with deep & hypnotic techno back in 2014. As far as I can remember, got fascinated by Lucy’s Boiler Room dj set. Then I just started digging this style.
As a producer I can say before two years, I'm still trying to find my ideal identity, every day is a constant experimentation and evolvement for me, so yes, I am still rookie.

For me this means a lot, to be honest this is an important part of my life, my everyday mental healing."

Mode_1 is a techno producer and DJ and a resident for one of the most consistent collectives in Dublin, Subject. He produces clean and powerful peak time techno and his DJ sets would be best described as fast and trippy with a groove. As a Subject resident, he plays regularly at two of the city’s best venues, District 8 and Index as well as festivals such as Life Festival, Electric Picnic and Boxed Off. At the beginning of 2018, Mode_1 had his track "Oíche" featured on Berghain resident Fiedel’s Double Mixpack EP, "Appendix", which also featured tracks from Jay Clarke, Ron Albrecht, Noncompliant and Philippe Petit.

In January 2019, he contributed his track "Twenty7" for a collectors edition vinyl commemorating the closure of the infamous District 8, alongside producers Tinfoil, Hybrasil and Moduse. It was an exciting year for the artist, as he then released his debut EP "Final Approach" on French label Knotweed and later featured his track "Return" on Fiedel’s new label Super Sound Tool. 2020 saw Mode_1 back on Knotweed with his EP "Mainframe" and on Fiedel’s label FiedelTwo with the "4x4 Series Pt1" EP. He was featured on Truncate’s "Missing" remix compilation and his EP "Pusher" was released on the legendary label, Naked Lunch Records.

In 2021, Mode_1 released the first EP on his own label, M1M series with M1M_001 and later in the year with M1M_002. Having remixed Vinicius Honorio’s track "Hideous" for his label Liberta Records and his track "Six10" featured on the VA compilation of Insolate’s label Out of Place Records. In march of 2021, he returned to Knotweed with his EP "Movements". 2022 started off strong with his fourth release on Knotweed, as well as releases on Prophecy Records and his third instalment of his M1M series. In 2023 he made his debut in Berlin’s AVA Club, Suicideclub and Ostra Club in France as well as releasing tracks on two VA's for RLSD and Reverse VA01.

For this release we reintroduce one of our "resident" artists on Bunk3r R3cords. Dive into the deep underworld with the productions of Syafka and go back to those rave caves where people party till the morning on the most dirty beats.

Bio:
Kymatica/Syafka was inspired by the early electronic sounds of Detroit and Chicago and later the German underground Techno sounds of Berghain and Tresor. He's ever evolving and remaining open to new sounds and emergent technology. The only thing that remains constant is a passion and utter devotion to electronic music. At this point in time you’ll find him honing a ghostly and sketchy Techno blueprint that fuses shuffling drums with eerie synthesis, snatched vocals-as-instruments and strains of Detroit and Chicago classicism.

[ASG BR241] Syafka - No Friends But The Mountains EP Preview

Homeboy Hugo Rienzi needs no introduction anymore… After a lot of strong releases and "chart-hitting" tracks, he now introduces his own album with 11! typical Hugo Rienzi's bangin' tracks. Move your feet to the strong beats of Hugo Rienzi.

Bio:
Hugo Rienzi (aka Ken Young or Squadrum or Atmozz), from Bruges (Belgium), started mixing electronic music at 16 years old. His big influence has always been Dave Clarke. At 18 years old he bought his first professional mixing table and started to learn how to mix by himself, using only vinyl. Movies on YouTube of Dave Clarke did also help him improving his technical skills which gave him more personality and confidence after the decks. 

In 2004 Hugo moved out to Spain and started to spin more commercial House and Techno vibes because only at several clubs in Spain they played real Techno music so he had to adapt himself to his public. 

In 2008 he started to spin in Alicante, in a small club called "La Ley". He there got his first lessons in how to work proper with Serato and Traktor. Antonio Chou, ex-resident of "Revival club Torre Vieja", was his teacher from then on. In 2008 Hugo became resident of another club called "Comix". With the money he earned by mixing he bought himself an iMac to use Ableton controlled by an APC40 and a Launchpad and started to produce Minimal and Techno music. 

When crisis was at his worst in Spain, he decided to come back to Belgium and started to spin directly at small events. Short after his comeback Hugo won his first mixing competition on "Push It Young Talents" Tour which led him directly to one of the biggest clubs in Belgium those days, called "Café d'Anvers". He also played on events like "Area 51" and "Liberty White".

[ASG BR244] Hugo Rienzi - Tortured By The Light (Album) Preview

L3NNÖN is a brand new artist on our label and with these 2 tracks he adds another dimension of Techno music to the label. Drums, driving percussions, dark hypnotic synths and vocals brings you to the right mental space.

Bio:
Coming from a small town in Northern Ireland, L3NNÖN is an artist with a passion for music from a young age. In the mid 90's he was introduced to Sasha and this sound really intrigued him and started his love for electronic music. 

Understanding how mainstream music and underground music varied, he was drawn to the underground and his knowledge of genres developed from here. He started having a fascination with tracks focusing on the drums and darker sounding synths within music and this is when his love with Techno started. 

In his music he likes to incorporate different frequencies and sounds using field recordings he collects and modular sounds he creates and makes them dance together to create a blend of hypnotic music. If people have their eyes closed and smile when he plays or they hear his music, then his dream is real.

This release is the 2nd EP for the Scottish Techno addict. Calzoh breaths Techno and with this second EP, he proves that once again. With his raw and aggressive style he earned his spot on our label again.

Bio:
Calzoh is a Techno producer from Glasgow (Scotland). He started producing in 2022 and within that time he signed on several record labels around Europe. His style includes Raw, Acid and Melodic Techno. He likes to create pulsating rhythms in his music where people can dance on.

[ASG BR246] Calzoh - Tripping At 3am EP Preview

DULEP is back on our label with his third EP and when you say DULEP  you say "charts hitting" Techno material and for this release it will not be different. The Mexican wonderboys Dmash and Mwamwa, also well-known artists on Bunk3r R3cords, bring their own vision of the track which is very versatile and so nice.

Bio:
Influenced by 90s Rave and the Hard Techno of now, DULEP's tracks are aimed to bring energy and fast grooves using melodic lines and percussion. Lots of releases on established labels proves his ability to deliver proper Techno. His tracks and remixes already got support from some great names in the scene.
