Though Turkey may seem like an unlikely place for Techno, following in the tradition of fellow countrymen Len Faki and Butch; 
it is the home of a true hidden gem in Emir Hazir. Starting his career in music as a DJ at a popular turkish radio station, 
he discovered the world of production through a chance encounter with some analog gear at a friend's house in 2004. 
He immediately fell in love and the rest is history. 
Emir eventually moved onto software and spent the following years teaching himself how to produce by studying manuals, tutorials, and music as he gradually learned and refined his sound. 
His diligence paid off and Emir finally released his first EP, the formidable “Come Closer EP” on Feierkind Records in 2011. Since then Emir Hazir hasn't looked back!!!

Grounded Podcast number 63 welcomes a DJ/Producer from Germany who is currently residing in Frankfurt. Having played behind the decks for many years... musically she is back at her roots, playing the kind of sound that had the strongest impact on her and appears to be the most authentic, allowing her to truly express how she feels. More recently she has began to produce her own music whilst building upon her hardware setup and with several tracks already finished be sure to keep an eye out for these in the not too distant future!

Recording of the set I did last weekend at the legendary Tresor in Berlin. Had a great time hanging out with the BCR and Tresor crew, all the friends that came over, a lot of them from Rotterdam and of course the amazing crowd. Other artists that were playing on the same night were Joseph McGeechan, Monya, Ad.Lib and Chris Page. Great sets all night long! Thanks everybody for a night to remember!
