For its fourth instalment, Interstate welcomes Copenhagen's Schacke. Rooted in punk and noise, the Danish artist grew into becoming one of the key figures of Copenhagen's scene and inner part of Courtesy's Ecotherm and newly found Kulor imprint. On INS004, Schacke delivers three originals, exploring musical spheres that are both brutal and graceful. The opener "Cold Hands" kicks things off on a dark yet atmospheric note with driving percussions that make your body shake. "It Was All A Dream" is built around an irresistible synth loop that is accompanied by angelic noises and winds. While this track blooms in its flow and drive, the short break shows what an exceptionally gifted producer Schacke is.The flip-side features the title track "Met Her At The Herrensauna" which is the record's most euphoric. Dazzling leads, shimmering synths and a somewhat otherworldy yowling loop drive this track which has all potential to create the special dancefloor moment one won't forget. At last, IBON, another Copenhagen talent, delivers his take on "Met Her At The Herrensauna" by giving the original an even more clubby and trancy touch. The two combined make this 130bpm and upwards Copenhagen take-over complete!

Codec Recordings’ Releases Last EP of the Year from Label Boss Decoder.

The 4th and final EP of 2020 on Codec Recordings is from label owner Decoder, accompanied by two hard hitting remixes from Servos and Kerim Bey. Opening up the EP is Social Commentary, an uptempo minimal track with influences from both Detroit and Berlin techno. Secondly comes Minority, a no nonsense, forward thinking hypnotic tune with a booming bassline and trippy soundscapes. The title track Black Ocean introduces a dark, loopy banger that could be inspired by the likes of Kessell or James Ruskin. The track Solution comes in strong with diminished chords, large 909 drums, droning synths, and mesmerizing bells. Mysterious industrial techno artist Servos adds a layer of power to the track Social Commentary. Kerim Bey’s remix of Minority finishes off the EP, with heavy, broken beat drums and a minimalistic take on the original.

Decoder - Minority [Artaphine Premiere]

For the next slot of my series I've chosen Vel. I'm really happy to finally share a woman on the series.

Next up:  Vel.

Morocco born, France based DJ and producer Vel delivers a set between the moods. She included deep atmospheres, dark vibes and psychedelic visions. Pads settings different vibes. 

Back in december she released her debut EP "Who by Fire " on unusal records. Which made me aware of her. I loved the style of her production and really enjoyed her release. The EP comes up with remixes by "In Aeternam Vale" and "Amour noir".

The vinyl of her actual ep is completely sold out - because it's pure quality.

I've chosen her, because her release fitted good in my vision of verschwommen. I always try to choose artists, I'm feeling familiar with, because of their sound and the vibe. 

In this case it matched very "vel".
I hope you get this one haha.
