Since 2015, Viennese producer Alpha Tracks has used Cheap’s Morbid offshoot as fertile ground for his own (as well as his peers’) work. His sound straddles the space between 90s rave and ambient, two defining genres of the era, with relative ease and irrespective of more recent ephemeral trends. Flavoured with this buoyant nostalgia, Bassiani podcast 94 is an apposite blend of furious, superlative techno and euphoric dance bound to make you move.

This understanding has filtered over into Tred's impressive production style, with his recent release on 1Ø PILLS MATE strongly highlighting this.

Next up in the Fast Forward Audio Series, we present a b2b session with CcC x DJ Spit !

At the invitation of LACKREC and Magic Power in 2018, Berlin’s DJ Spit has surfaced as a new talent pushing a hybrid set of sounds. Geared toward drum and bass, techno and warehouse to drill and amen-infused breaks, Spit fills a gap between ghetto house and hi-tech industrial.
With beats making it to Spandau20, Possession and Pollerwiesen podcasts, other sets and appearances include Slam Radio and Lobster Theremin, to mixes for Rinse FM France and HÖR in Berlin. 
Booked for Berghain’s Säule, Endurance in Copenhagen and Kyiv’s ∄ - to raves in Armenia through London - Spit’s other spots online include a back-to-back set with VTSS (Q Club) and a session for Boiler Room at Leipzig’s Distillery.
Sending an unapologetic dive bomb into the contemporary fields of rave, Spit launched Rascal Records in 2021, and ahead of founding the Verteiler label, he’ll continue to blaze a trail to the very extremes of club music.

CcC (Jimi Oduntan) Born in Lagos, Nigeria (16.06.1995) and raised in Duisburg, Germany is a DJ and producer. At the age of twelve, inspired by German and American Hip Hop, he began his first steps in his musical career.
By discovering Dutch and German techno culture, he teamed up with a childhood friend between the ages of 15 and 17 and began to focus on his creative career. Always wandering between two worlds, playing at HipHop & trap Partys but also producing faster electronic music. With the early move to the capital (2015), he again dealt intensively with productions & rap. Several publications and live appearances followed. Through the intensive examination of the electronic music scene in Berlin, he discovered that the values and the lifestyle propagated by rap culture at that time were no longer compatible with his ideas. Then he started the electronic DJ & producer project CcC. Since the beginning of 2020 there have been 2 releases, Digital & Vinyl (Melt The Pot, U4E, “CcC - Pe Awon Olopaa (Don't) & Club Qu Sampler Vol. 1, CcC - Hectics)” on which he is already working alongside international greats such as Adiel, Orlando Voorn, Hector Oaks, Marcel Dettmann & Steffi. Despite the pandemic, he managed to increase his level of awareness through formats such as Arte Concert and Hör Berlin and is currently forming the record label/collective „VERTEILER“ with a group of creatives such as DJ Spit.
Focusing on fast-paced techno experimentations, his soundscape can be described as dark & twisted, yet dreamy and blissful. An ever spiralling, tippy ride down the rabbit hole of electronic music.

Fast Forward Audio Series #66: CcC x DJ Spit

Philipp Drube has his musical roots in the underground scene of Hamburg where he played his first gig in 2011. Two years later he moved to Berlin where he was holding a residency at Ismus from 2015 till 2020 and founded the label Space Trax with fellow Frank Heise. His meticulous and hand-tailored sets focus on fast-paced Techno and different faces of Trance. A blend which earns him appearances at Berlin’s most established venues such as Säule (Berghain), Griessmühle, Tresor or ÆDEN and eventseries like Mala Junta or Synoid as well as several venues throughout Germany, Europe and also the US.

Figure de proue de la techno danoise, Mama Snake a grandement participé à l’émergence et à l’épanouissement d’une scène danoise aujourd’hui reconnue pour son originalité, centrée autour de la culture DIY post punk mais surtout des kicks à 140 BPM. Après quelques prestations remarquées l’année dernière lors de Dekmantel, Boiler Room ou encore son mix Resident Advisor, elle développe aujourd’hui sa propre empreinte avec son nouveau label Amniote Editions, qui tend à réconcilier pour de bon les puristes de la techno avec les nostalgiques de la trance 90’s.
