Back in 2011 I was asked to film Phife Dawg at The Tabernacle, in London as part of the '' Speaking Of presents 'The Caribbean Roots of Hip Hop' featuring Phife Dawg, Rodney P & DJ 279, I came across an audio recording I had made off the event which I haven't heard since 2011.  Phife Dawg talks about his caribbean heritage and the making of the Hip Hop classics like 'Electric Relaxation & 'Scenario' and performs new lyrics. Please enjoy and share. 3rd Avenue Blues Band is one of those early 70s Blue-eyed jazz funk band like "Tower of Power", "Albert", ... This LP was recorded at IRI Studios, Dallas, Texas and contains wonderful soul funk tunes sang by the black singer Harold Jones. The best track is maybe the terrific funky "Come on and Get It" but this album includes some great remakes of Isley Brothers, Eddie Harris,...
