Clocking in with his debut instalment for Hive Audio is Bogota-born, Zürich-based jockey and vibist Dani Posada. By draping the traditional music legacy of his home country in cutting-edge electronic folds, Dani intends to build bridges between cultures and eras, and his newest effort for us, beautifully named “Lenguaje Desertico”, isn’t straying from that very space-time-transcending artistic gesture of his. 
 
First in line, the title slab “Lenguaje Desertico” opens a window on vast expanses of melodic beauty. Merging hypnotic Arabo-Andalusian strings with proper synthetic blends of processed drums, spirited Cordovan vocals and cosmic keyboard riffs, the Swiss-Colombian whiz takes us to a world in-limbo between the myrrh-scented warmth of ancient traditions and boundless, glass-and-concrete hypermodernism. 
 
Blending serene field recording of forest murmurs with a straight out Latin strain of boogie, “Lenguaje Suramericano” is a gleeful jaunt into green-splattered exotic scapes and secret jungle alcoves. Unshackled from gridlocked rhythmic rules and typical genre encapsulation, Posada’s compositions walk the outer border of club music as you know it to thrive at the densely forested, inspirationally exhilarating margins that make our world move and keep our hearts pure.

Ruben Coslada fasziniert uns mit seiner neuen EP "Archipel", indem er den Wechsel der Gezeiten in ein groovig knarziges Gesamtpaket komponiert hat. Wir spüren in "Calima" dem sandigen Ostwind der kanarischen Inseln nach. Die Sicht ist leicht getrübt, das Licht rötlich gebrochen und die trockene Luft fegt über die Archipelgewässer.
Wie in einem luziden Rausch webt Dani Posadas Remix eine weitere Ebene aus knackigen Wüstenklängen in ihre Interpretation,
während Matija uns mit einem entschleunigten Remix tiefer ins mäandernde Traumland entführt.
Ebenso wie die Logik des Archipels auf die Vielfalt der verschiedenen Inseln verweist, werden die vom Meer belebten Räume in dieser EP im zweiten Track "Taoro" versinnbildlicht und in einem ständigen Fluss der genüsslichen Verlangsamung zelebriert.
Denn auch in der Philosophie stellte Gilles Deleuze über das Archipel fest: "Die Welt besteht [...] aus fließenden Beziehungen, aus Inseln und dem Dazwischen, aus beweglichen Punkten und gewundenen Linien."

A late-night f'ing around session at my house after some drinks. 😅

I still practice and fuck around with (trying) to blend different genres/elements (high-hats, bass line, melody, vocal, etc).  I'm not perfect at all and I still make many "mistakes".  But, I always try to correct the mistakes and find a way out of the mistake.  My style of mixing is much like Bob Ross' philosophy "there are no mistakes.. just happy little accidents". 🙌🏽😊

I sometimes feel pressure and nervous when I mix because I feel like I am going up against many DJs that use a ton of software, prearrange their mixes with cue points, and matching the BPMs and the keys so that their mixes are perfectly seamless... And, although that's the way of the DJ world these days (I'm generalizing), I don't mix that way.
I don't use a computer and I prearrange nothing ... I almost never have any idea what I will start with or what I will play next, as I always go with a feeling.  
I select the next track spontaneously.  And, I LOVE long transitions/blends!

My style of mixing is no better or worse than your style of mixing.
I'm not embarrassed to expose myself and even my "mistakes", and for me this is important.
This mini-set includes some of my favorite tracks at the time.  And, that night, I just wanted to fuck around and jam them all together. 😅💫

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown in the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a label from the land of the Ancient Greeks: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music trip outside traditional paths with driving grooves and polyphonic structures that are seeking dancers to Dionysian highs and places never seen before.

The Tiger’s Nest refers to Ngalop, a tribe from Bhutan. They used to dance masked in their ceremonies. Symbolizing different deities, demons and animals the masks are used when the Ngalop act out spiritual stories from their collective past. Religious gathering for them is the Tschechu festival which take place in the temple of Paro Takstang or The Tiger’s Nest, located more than 10.000 feet above sea level, it is one of the most sacred sites in Bhutan. A legend holds that a former wife of an Emperor, willingly became a disciple of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambahva) in Tibet. She transformed herself into a tigress and carried the Guru on her back from Tibet to the present location of the Taktsang in Bhutan. In one of the caves here, the Guru then performed meditation and emerged in eight incarnated forms (manifestations) and the place became holy. Subsequently, the place came to be known as the “Tiger's Nest”

Dani Posada is a Swiss-Colombian DJ and Producer, based in Zurich and born in Bogota. HIs music is a celebration of diversity. Known for his mixing of different styles, Dani crafts sets that tell unique stories. Whether he’s closing the night, opening the floor, or driving the main time with bouncing beats and unexpected melodies, Dani’s performances try always to be memorable.

Beyond the decks, Dani’s passion extends into shaping the Swiss nightlife scene. As a co-founder of different labels, he’s played an important role in creating unforgettable experiences over the past years. He holds also a residency in Hive, Klaus and Frieda's Büxe. In 2023, he launched a groundbreaking 4-day festival in Switzerland Children of Panacea, featuring an outstanding lineup that showcased his commitment to musical diversity and community.
