No DAW is utilized. No additional effect processor used.

This is my first own production made in 2013 in a long interval.
DSI-Tetra gave the final touch with long sweeping killer analog sound.
The Moog sample on MPC has inspired me to cover the most famous part of "Russians" (from the first solo album of Sting - The Dream of the Blue Turtles) at the end 5:20.

This is my first pattern by Doepfer Dark Time analog sequencer.
Pattern changes are made live by Dark Time switches and Bass Station II's keyboard to control transpositions. Resulting sequence is recorded live to MPC500.

TR808 samples on MPC are used for drum programming.
MPC has driven DSI-Tetra and Novation Bass Station II by loops.

Composed in a hotel room during night time in March 2014 in Regensburg/Germany.

Dark Time in Reg - BuOn (Original Mix)

I have used factory preset pattern P8-4 on TB-3 as a basis for the main theme at the end.
Sound preset is B17, full open filter, no resonance, no effect, middle upper range envelope. The intro and the following is created by modifying the factory patterns in bank 8 by randomizing and improvising.

Fantastically creative TB-3 has made me groovy bassliner. Unbelievable.
The rhythm composer is TR-8. Perfect AIRA couples ...

Funky Bassline TB-3 (P8B17) - BuOn (Groovy Edit)

TB-3 & TR-8.

I have used factory preset pattern group P5 on TB-3 as a basis. They are mostly changed. Sound preset is A06, full open filter, no resonance, no effect, default settings.

Groovy TB-3 (P5A06) - BuOn (Original Mix)

TR-8 synced to TB-3 which played along with Bass Station II.

Same like "Original Mix" with addition of Bass Station II.
TB-3's MIDI OUT data has been sent to BSII to add one additional sound to make the bassline richer. BSII's patch has been created for this piece.

TR-8 synced to TB-3 which played along with Bass Station II.

All bassline patterns are from TB-3.
After long filter sweep on Bass Station II at the entry, TB-3 sound is mixed.

Real time pattern and sound changes recorded live on a PC as a single track using SB Audigy 2.
No DAW is utilized. No additional effect processor used.

Starting with recording of a single sequence on Dark Time, ending with the production using my complete setup ...

Recorded live on a PC as a single track using Audigy2 while MPC500 controlling Rack2X, Tetra, TR-8, TB-3 and Bass Station II. Only BSII is fed to Electribe ESX for valve force addition to analog brass sound.
No DAW is utilized. No additional effect processor used.

Original composition with TR-8, BSII and Volca Bass:

- TR-8 for all drums instead of Electribe ESX-1 drum samples,
- BSII for deep bass sound instead of ESX's bass sample,
- Volca Bass for brassy sound (01:52) instead of Moog sample on MPC500, Perfect for a compact bass synth :-)
- Moog sample for "Russians" (06:08) transferred to ESX-1 used with effects.

Main MIDI control and sequencing on MPC500 as original.
ESX used as a sequencer and en effect processor with Volca Bass for brassy sound and Moog sample.

This is my amateur production page where I have started to share my own personal productions.
I am a big fan of synthesizer sounds especially analog ones. Playing with sounds and sequences is my greatest hobby.
I really prefer hardware synths which I feel myself very attached to the sound almost directly.

Instead of buying expensive and very complex syths, I prefer mid-range and low priced gear to have more variety of sounds and mobility.

When I play with sounds and sequences, sometimes I feel that I need to record the piece, off course very amateurishly. I don't have interest and time to deal with DAWs. Instead, I use my hardware sequencers to keep the tracks. During sound recording to PC, I turn on and off the tracks, tweak knobs and buttons live to alter sounds and to record live-mixed single sound track.

These are the ones that I have recorded for fun and that I like to share here.

Stay with electronic music.
Keep it as much as analog!
