London-based duo Kit Sebastian share their new single ‘Elegy For Love’, an outsider soul masterpiece. It is the third track to be taken from their forthcoming sophomore album, ‘Melodi', which is released 1st October on Mr Bongo. ‘Melodi' is a joyous expression of vibrant grooves and sophisticated lyricism that transcends boundaries, borders and social-cultural preconceptions. Those familiar with the band's cult classic 2019 debut record 'Mantra Moderne' will instantly recognise their unique take on world music, jazz and psychedelia. With this next album the duo have expanded their language and concepts and transposed them into something larger and more contemplative.

The sultry 'Elegy For Love’ see’s the duo at their very finest. Sounding like a lost Outsider-Soul rarity arranged by Rogério Duprat with Vagif Mustafa Zadeh on the piano; the composition is truly unique. It is their most instrumentally diverse track, with glockenspiels, uplifting trumpets, sweeping strings and vocal melodies that sprinkle magic dust. 

The lyrics talk about a final late-night meeting of a couple as a last futile attempt to save their romance. It juxtaposes their fleshly pleasure with their emotional pain/sorrow, confusion and contempt in a small gloomy bedroom.
