Burden, often refers to himself and his listeners as “The Underdogs”, meaning the less fortunate, the misunderstood, and the more corrupted. He demonstrates pride in these features with his filterless honesty in which has been known to get him into trouble every now and again. But that might be just the thing that makes him stand out even more as an artist. 

Born Kenneth Bartels in Akron, Ohio, Burden had seen his father only a few times he can recall before his mother needing to rehabilitate herself from hard drug use took him and his sister Jessica to Tampa, Florida when he was around the age of 5. Where they would then begin a new life.

“I feel like all of it was for a reason. You have to understand there is no good without bad.
