"The Quilcom Trout synthesiser is a tribute to the Trautonium in its many incarnations and versions", Quote Rex Baxterfield, who created this free vst. The Trautonium is the first Synth from 1930, well known from A. Hitchcock's The Birds. Well, I used Trout 5 times in this track + drum and bass vst + flute ! ....  Famous are compositions for Trautonium from Paul Hindemith, German Composer, who accompanied the development of the Trautonium as a university teacher and was a kind of "Bürgerschreck" (musical bogey) at that time, because of his "modernity" ... :-)

This little song is one part memorial tribute to Stiv Bators,front man for Dead Boys and Lords of the New Church and later solo artist ( check out his great album Disconnected )
who  tragically died in Paris June 199O from a head injury sustained in a car accident ..through the music Stiv remains forever young,  loud and snotty...
The other theme of the song pertains to  pessimistic musing about aging and mortality ...  find the easter eggs ....i incorporated 10 Dead Boys song titles in the lyrics  ....

Here’s another old favorite song of mine, written by Baker Knight in the 50’s and recorded by many folks before and after Elvis’ most famous version, released in 1970. Once again, this is one of my stripped down recordings taken from an i-phone voice memo and transplanted to GarageBand for this final mix I threw together in homage to The King. Interestingly, Baker apparently originally wrote this as a gospel song, about the true King, but I think by now we all just read it as a simple and emotive love song, one of many done so masterfully by Elvis. I hope some folks will enjoy this quick take on it.
