Ra is the Egyptian word for 'sun'. As a solar deity, Ra embodied the power of the sun but was also thought to be the sun itself, envisioned as the great god riding in his barge across the heavens throughout the day and descending into the underworld at sunset.
My ode to that great civilization and the Sun  responsible for all life on this planet..

My dear Dad was always with me when I was a child, but now we've been apart for over 2 years due to the war. My parents' home exists only in my memory. I wish all the children in Ukraine whose fathers have to defend the country peace and reunion of their families.

My radar's receiving, crossed signals achieving this bold chagrin
Another lesson from the look within
Beyond the static where the sound begins
Taste the tendency another secrecy 
This gap of time and space 
They feel the need to lather up my face
Wash off the meaning, it will not erase

Always selling me these lessons on emotional hygiene 
Repeat and then reframe: The lamb, the limb, the lame 
Cast off and cure the madness that defines me 
Recalibrate, they say, Please start again
 
Deodorize and sanitize me                        
Popularize and categorize me 
Verbalize, decentralize me
Something smells rotten in there
