In this bio about the new Dim Garden - A Dauntless Sprite Descends (Album) we are not going to define the concept of this musical jewel, since each of the selected tracks is a part of the astral journey in the enchanted forest of Dim Garden in The Hague. Choose the door from which you want to start the Album and you will have a different and mystical experience.

Close your eyes...can you feel it? giant mushrooms and animals running alongside us while they wink at us, so that we can continue to enter the forest while some magicians with giant long beards are playing synthesizers in the treetops in the light of the Moon.

When we believe that we have completed the entire forest, a giant light appears from the bottom of the forest and all the animals go towards it, to pay their respect. One of the Forest Gods of Dim Garden appeared... the white wizzard named ''Legowelt'' with a super magic remix and his fast paced take on the track ''Visions of Love'' and all his synths around him.
The housekeeper of the Forest is Jentlemen with her Remix of ''Na Mata''. Without realizing it, you have already been absorbed by the essence and atmosphere of Dim Garden... Open your eyes... or was it just a dream?

Is it a dream, a Jungian fantasy, a deep dive into the repressed psyche? Is it a malfunction? Or is it the one place where you can escape from the repetitive drone of the hive mind?

"Interlink: B" is the second V/A release from Unimatrix Zero, a collection of tracks from our friends across the North American dance music community and beyond. The release is accompanied by a limited edition custom fragrance available in a 10 mL roll-on, “The Mutation” – a blend of various musks, black hemlock, and bay leaf – a spicy, botanical scent with a hint of smoke and vanilla.

LDY OSC, a Bunker NY alum based in Vienna with roots in Mexico City and NYC, kicks things off with a gritty, acidic bassline gradually unfurling into percussive madness in “Untitled 303606,” a noise-tinged rave workout that’s a masterclass in restraint and tension. Philadelphia-via-NYC’s M Parent’s “Low End Loser” takes us back to the depths with his signature sharply mixed, low-slung electro, punctuated with the cheeky-yet-demented vocals we’ve all come to know and love from the artist. Alonzo, hailing from Brooklyn via Miami, continues the theme of tough, heady low-end in a rough-and-tumble electro number, “White Sheets.”

Next up is NYC’s Escaflowne, who offers a hint of melodic levity grounded in a classic techno groove with a strong sense of Midwest shuffle on “CZ Beat.” CHAINLETTER’s “Drum Bop 3” delivers on its title - a slinky percussive bop suited for a psychedelic forest frolic. Hailing from Durham, NC, they’re a welcome addition to this collection of tracks. Finally, label co-founder Guilt Attendant teams up with M Parent for their collaboration “Shake It (Philly Swing Mix),” departing from their previous dub techno excursions as Modal Form with a twisted, trippy number recorded live in Parent’s home studio in Philadelphia.

Galactic Funk co-founder Bertram lands on Dead Channel with his debut EP Kibra Cadena. Literally translated as ‘break chains’ in Aruban creole, and broadly referencing the breaking of colonial chains of imperial oppression, this six track EP of tense, brooding rhythms is driven and gritty. Spanning mutated psychedelic dub, Giallo-tinged cinematix, frenzied insidious acid, and methodically churning crispers, this stunning work is singular in its execution and focused in its vision. Moving his first steps through the freed spaces of Macao, gone-but-not-forgotten squat center for experimental art practices in Milan, primordial OOze involves one of the early members of the Saturnalia festival crew and engine behind the mind-altering happenings and artifacts of Communion. Crafting soundtracks for chemical dreams as xàr num and twisted underwater dances with the trio Cortex of Light, he’s also one of the mind behind A.R.X. (Ambient Rave eXperience). With mixes aired on NTS, Kiosk, LYL Radio, Rinse FM, Noods, Mutant Radio and tracks released on Artetetra/Communion, Comic Sans, Eska and Pho Bho, in its mutable shapes the OOze has spread over the years in spaces and happenings like Jazz is Dead (IT), Nextones (IT), Codex Club (DE), Cosmic Gathering (DE), Dromoscope X (DE), Outernational Days (RO), Nyege Nyege (UG), Danzas Obsidiana (PT), Club Cocoon (BE). Superimposing ancient echoes and flash-forward insights, his mixes are as various as the moments in whom they happen or by whom they’re inspired: from ecstatic drifts beyond the wall of sleep to storms of percussions and noises spiralling close to the speed of light.

The long overdue reissue of "Selbstportrait Vol. III/Reise durch Arcadien" closes a gap in the Roedelius oeuvre which his followers have long since had their eyes on. Those who found the self-portrait series irresistible had to endure a lengthy, impatient wait for the "Journey Through Arcadia". "Selbstportrait III" gathers together (as did parts I and II) enraptured low-fi piano/synthesizer/electronic miniatures, musical sketches and ideas which Roedelius recorded at home in the living room on his Revox tape machine between 1973 and 1979 as a kind of "musical diary". Out now!
