Having played his way through the 1970s in various rock combos (Medusa, Nine Days' Wonder), Michael Bundt embarked on a solo career in the latter part of the decade, going on to release three albums which saw him explore the vast potential of electronic music. Delightfullly varied and typical of his willingness to experiment, his music orbits around Krautrock, Berlin School electronica, space-futurism and synth pop. "Electri City" was his last album. When you think of the music to have emerged from Seattle, grunge and Sub Pop are probably the first things that come to mind. But Seattle was already home to a vibrant alternative music scene back in the 1970s. One of the most prominent synthesizer acts of the period was the trio Young Scientist. Influenced by the likes of Cluster, Harmonia and Tangerine Dream, they released their music exclusively on cassette. We are delighted to present their superb debut album from 1979, the hypnotic-meditative-cyclical "Results Not Answers" on CD and vinyl for the very first time!

Martin Rev is best known as one half of the seminal duo Suicide (with Alan Vega). Listening to his solo albums, it becomes clear that Rev was responsible for the group’s music. Clouds of Glory, his second solo effort, was released on the French label New Rose in 1985. Out June 21st, 2019. CD / vinyl / digital

Imagine if you could listen to the nervous whirling of methane and helium, that’s what this album sounds like – at least in the mind of experimentalist Conrad Schnitzler. The  Berlin artist first released these recordings on a small American cassette label. An uncommonly rhythmical vortex, we would suggest. Now available for the very first time on CD and vinyl!

The bar held deep dark secrets behind its doors: only those who frequented it knew what lay inside. It wasn't open to everyone, you had to be invited. How you got an invitiation though, that was the question. Rumours had circulated about the place and what many had encountered beyond the doors, but none of this was certain. But one thing that many had been heard countless times was that it was a place for excess. There were no half measures here...

Belgian producer, DJ and The Word radio host Cabasa debuts on Boogie Box Records with his Excess EP which includes a remix from Keysound's Otik. Following releases from Otik himself, Caldera, STL, Causa and Appleblim, the label continue their exploration into rhythmic territories with Cabasa at the helm. From the fluid synths and stuttering drums of openere 'Valleyfield' to the atmospheric melodies of 'Cats on Scooters' and broken polyrhythms of our pick 'Excess', Cabasa flaunts a masterful touch that's way beyond his years.
