The time was half past midnight and the day from before had been wiped clean by the clicking noise of the clock. It hung abruptly upon the wall within the factory as the workers looked up from below with a dazed expression. They had been confined to the metallic blur of the industrial space for far too long and had forgotten what the greenery of the outside world and the jungle looked like. Grey was all to be seen within the blurry discourse of this space and time was relative.

Midnight Tenderness is set to release a brand new EP on the rising Australian label of the moment Ken Oath. The imprint is in fine form as they deliver another jazzy take on house music purpose built for the discerning dancefloor.

This premiere comes from the second release from 00:AM, Montreal’s very own party turned imprint. If you’re not familiar with this trio so far, it’s most definitely worth checking out their MIXED BY interview from last March. Having thrown some of Montreal’s best parties for many years, showcasing local talent as well as importing top deejays from around the globe, it comes as no surprise that the lineup for 00AM002 is as fresh as ever. The crew show off their knack for A&R with their second VA release, crafted yet again from a delicious pairing of local and international talent.

B1 “Confluence” comes from the cross Atlantic collaboration by German artist Iron Curtis and LA’s Cromie. The track kicks off with plenty of swagger, as scattered kicks and a steady clap set the pace, resonating pads and dreamy harmony set the mood; gated synths and rhythmic stabs raise the energy, soon followed by an infectious bass-line that brings it all together. By the time the breakdown is over, the broken rhythm is switched out for a solid 4x4 groove, making an already groovy affair into a tune fit for any dance floor.

Jakwob - Naughty

Reworking a big tune is never a simple task, especially if after 7 years the tune in question is still one of the highlights in shows of one of the worlds most beloved live act performers, KiNK. That’s only half of the story though, as the tune got a lot of love from so many DJ’s all over the globe.
However, for the 17th burek release, we wanted to do something really special and what could be better than giving new life to a piece of music which literally gave life to our label. And we gathered some very interesting people for the job.

A1 KiNK - Leko (Kink’s Bass Shake Version) is a rework by none other thank KiNK himself. The original is a party monster as it is, so Strahil opted for an alternative approach that sheds an interesting light on a familiar song. Huge
resonating bass line!

A2. In 2013 KiNK had an successful E.P. with Rachel Row called Follow The Step which had a major impact on both of their careers. Later while touring with Rachel she had an idea to put some vocals on top of the first Leko track, which
now turned into a completely different, slow track with the familiar piano melody.

B1 KiNK - Leko (Session Victim Remix) is a wonderfully subdued take on the original. It keeps all the main elements we all know and love, and enriches them with a more percussive feel, well placed guitar licks and an overall easier mood. All that said, don’t make a mistake with thinking this is something for the living room as this one’s made for those special daytime/sunset/sunrise moments when a tune like this turns the situation into something everyone will take home with them.
B2 KiNK - Leko (Original Version) is the tune, in all it’s glory and attitude. Full-fledged peak time house track which turns
every party into a steaming pit of bodies asking for more. Too hot to ignore.

Leko (Kink's Bass Shake Version)

Manchester's Ciggy De La Noche makes his debut on Lobster sublabel Distant Hawaii with a four-tracker of warm, sunlit bumpin' house groovers. Waterfalls of cascading synth strings and dreamy, tender instrumentation drift and dance alongside more steady, playful late-night grooves. An infectious offering of kaleidoscopic house patterns and summer vibes.

Early Riser EP contains 4 tracks driven by a simplistic combination of catchy synth riffs and lush melodies. A release packed with plenty of airy grooves that work both for dusk and dawn.
The EP starts with the perfect intro track "Particles" with a breath-taking soundscape and atmosphere. The title track "Early Riser" contains a sweet groove that takes you on a journey through space and time. The tracks "No Worries" and "Lunar Motion" end the EP with some great rhythms between the simple melodies that play together in spectacular motion.
