This project was made when I was in a dark place, but finally made it to the light. With all of my basketball dreams gone out the window, the past 2 years of my life have been rough. I had no direction of where to go, but all I knew was that my life had to change. This song helped me through the steps of applying the change and reaping the benefits of my labor.

Ex collegiate-athlete, Burgundy Blk is now with his true love, music. Making music since the age of nine, his parents weren't fond of it which transitioned into him playing basketball. However, country music was always being played in the house while growing up. Burgundy Blk listened to country music, but only around his parents. When his parents weren't home, he would take his brothers walkman and play hip hop. While in sports, music was still heavy in Burgundy Blk's soul. He often hid songs as random files and wrote lyrics extra small so that his parents would not find or read them. Moving to America for school and leaving his family behind at age 16, Burgundy Blk took basketball and his studies seriously. At practices, before and after games, Burgundy Blk would freestyle to ease his mind from any distractions. Team mates and coaches started to notice and recognize Burgundy Blk's rap talent more than ever. In his last year of high school, the coach got him to perform at the school prom.

Burgundy Blk did not get back into the studio until college, where two of his basketball team mates also made music. He took his skills to new heights that often drew people around his dorm room, eager to hear a freestyle! After certain circumstances in college, Houdino returned back home to Canada, where his hoop dreams were over powered by his love for music.
Currently, Burgundy Blk is working together with his neighbourhood, nicknamed "The Vease", to bring his music to the world; along with his childhood friend just like he wanted to at the age of nine.
