Street Tracks Releases - Soulful Reaction EP / Imprint 16

Jason Kallis AKA Buried Notes makes electronic music from the heart, always trying to find the soul in a sound. Growing up in London during the late 80s and early 90s he listened to mix tapes, house, electro, hip hop, garage, drum & bass as well as jazz, and soul. As a result, his tracks incorporate sounds from different genres. 
 
On the ‘Soulful Reaction’ EP for Waze’s Street Tracks imprint, we are treated to a trio of tracks that epitomise the collective sounds of Buried Notes.  Glacial keys waft over shuffling beats and tight snare hits on ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, as waves of pads and distant vocals meld together for a delightful modern house production.  ‘I’m Just Like The Wind’ reveals a more urgent pace and tone as a skippy breakbeat propels this deep and uplifting slice of piano driven four to the floor, whilst ‘Sleep Tonight’ closes the EP with a quirky and kooky vocal number.

Another selection of up-and-coming talent is assembled for the Street Tracks Imprint series.  In this 16th instalment, a broad and eclectic range of electronic dance goodies are offered up by seven artists, all impressing with their own takes on the house and techno genres.

Future club bombs with a vocal twist are delivered by Sokotta featuring Melly Ooh, Sonickraft and Tone Troy, whilst Buried Notes delve into leftfield territory with the dubby and shuffling ‘Faith In Me’.

A pair of deep and tribal house tracks are served up by Dario and FALLA respectively, whilst Des Moda wraps up another bustling Imprint EP with the swirling melodies of ‘Atmosphere’.

Kick starting his association with the Street Tracks label back in August of this year with the ‘Soulful Reaction’ EP, Buried Notes returns to the label with a new scintillating single ‘Groove To Breathe’.

Growing up in London during the late 80s and early 90s, Buried Notes was schooled on a diet of mix tapes, house, electro, hip hop, garage, drum & bass as well as jazz, and soul. As a result, his tracks incorporate sounds from different genres. These influences are easily detected on ‘Groove To Breathe’ as a chunky DX bass riff is fastened to an industrious beat, laced with synth melodies and a sweet vocal hook that makes for a classic sounding dance track.
