"Alex Burkat is a powerhouse of creativity, with a discography that spans various genres and styles. He is a Philadelphia-based virtuoso who wears many hats - a visual artist, video producer, electronic musician and DJ. His work, a symphony of visuals and sound, has been showcased in esteemed platforms like Pitchfork, VICE, and SPIN Magazine, to name a few. From his early days as an electroclash performer to his evolution into a deep house music maestro, Alex’s journey is a testament to his versatility and passion. His breakthrough record, “Shower Scene,” was just the beginning. He continued to push boundaries with albums like “Tarot,” “The 285 Kent EP,” “Pay the Rent,” and "Magic Gardens EP". His collaborations, such as “Trolley Square” with Khésis and “The Leisure Hive” with Zillas on Acid, showcase his ability to work across different musical styles.

In addition to his individual tracks, Alex has been a part of various compilations, including "Brothers and Sisters". His DJ party and mix series, Ancient Puzzle Arts, is a reflection of his eclectic style and his love for deep house influenced club music.

Despite his packed schedule, which includes opening for Thievery Corporation and releasing new singles and EPs in 2024, Alex finds solace in travel, meditation, and the pursuit of bodega art.
