This was a project that paid respects to the orchestration of old music chips in old gaming consoles and offering a breath of air into what we would hear from a modern game with the inclusion of many more instruments. Most of which are sampled from the real instruments themselves.

Need-A-Res

I began this piece as a fully written score in Sibelius and then transferred it into Logic where I pieced together and embellished the score into a full Mach Up.

This piece was also an "80/20" piece. 
80% Western Orchestral Music and 20% theming.

The theme for this piece was "Space", instead of the classic dark abyss that most people go for. I went for a more lush and vast planetary setting. A piece that puts the audience in awe as if they too just stepped out of their spaceship into an incredible alien world.

Who We Are

This is, to date, my favorite piece I've made! It's spectacularly dynamic, and it has such a satisfying climactic end!

Though what I was impressed most with this piece is that, other than percussion, all the harmonies and melodies you hear was composed on a Celeste! This truly is a piece that highlights my orchestration ability!

I would absolutely love to hear this piece induct a new year on January 1st in the future!

The Great Winter

"I Want to Know" reflects 12 big questions of the millions I ask myself as I've grown up.

I wanted this music to represent growth not only within the lyrics but also compositionally. In the beginning, it starts soft and simple with just a piano arpeggio just like you might hear in children's music and growing into this grand peak that we will see after all that we have accomplished when we are older, and we can finally know that yes, we have lived a wonderful life.

I Want to Know

I met a girl a while back in Florida. Her house sat on the edge of a huge but incredibly secluded lake which had Water Lillies wrapped around the lakeside, walled off by Mangrove Trees dipping their many spindly legs into the water. The lake was large enough that it could sit a Japanese water gateway shrine in the center of serenity and I wanted to capture the environment in music that I felt would be perfect to listen to while sitting on the dock with legs dangling over the edge.

Compositionally, my colleague argued that you couldn't blend Hip Hop with Orchestra... "There's no way"... so just to prove them wrong, I mixed Hip Hop, Orchestra, and Japanese theme altogether.

Hidden Lake

I really like Japanese culture, and moreover, I love Japanese lore.

Old Man's Stories, was a piece that allowed me to blend traditional instruments with a storytelling dynamic that would build intrigue to the listeners as if they were sat listening to a senile old man on the side of a forest dirt road as he told stories about Beto Beto San, Chochin-obake, and Kappas.

My fascination for Japanese lore came from my Love and nostalgia of the game Goemon's Great Adventure.

I am a professional Music Composer and Audio Engineer with 4 years of experience working with independent game developers and content creators.

In both my Professional and Homelife I value being genuine to myself and to others, making the effort to see things from different perspectives, and keeping my integrity and work ethic sharpened.

My musical capabilities allow me to work in any desired genre or theme that clients ask for, from a broad range of Hip Hop to Orchestral. 

My skills also allow me to provide professional mach ups and the ability to convert those mach ups into to lead sheets, scores & their parts for instrumentalists, and vice versa.  

On a technical side, I am well versed in audio middleware including Wwise and Fmod for the implementation and mixing of audio and music into game projects. 

My Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) of choice include Logic Pro, Pro Tools, and Sibelius. However, I am more than capable to work within other DAWs as well.  

Although I can write for many different genres when writing for clients, my personal style will often lend itself to blends of modern pop and orchestra. This likely comes from a rich history of listening to film and game scores my entire life with the huge EDM phase I went through during my high school years.  

Outside of music, I really enjoy playing video games and watching science and history documentaries. I will even find myself enjoying a hobby of 3d modeling video game assets.
