"Stateline Dispensary" tells the story of a new Southern tradition. Most Southern states don't sell recreational cannibis, so the closest place to buy legally is in a state that does, like Illinois (though there are restrictions.) Let it be said that, as the writer of the song, I only know about this because I pray for the sinners who do it, and must be close to the sinners to properly minister to them (Matthew 12:14.) So, if anyone saw me there or any other sinful place, that's what I was doing. I'm sticking to that story.

Autumatic Mix - Fall 2020

“A musical experience that draws no lines and leaves no stone left unturned. Burlap Sac is a three piece band hailing from Calgary, Alberta. They offer a smorgasbord of tastes, personalities, and perspectives that all shine like the sun through a sieve. These guys incorporate diverse influences including everything from funk to folk while venturing into the worlds of hip-hop and blues. The band is just about to release their new EP, Better Now, and they look forward to spreading their sound across Canada for years to come. Sac’s original grooves will keep your toes tapping while the lyrical yet satirical vocals are sure to get you grinning. 
There is never a dull moment with these three talented musicians. Their shows have been described as a knock-out display of musical chairs as they seamlessly swap instruments bringing their own individual style to each. Juggling instruments amongst themselves is just one way that Sac delivers the distinctly diverse sound that is so uniquely theirs. Much like the Canadian beer that fuels their recording sessions and performances, they are as cool as a mountain stream and full bodied with a smooth finish: a flavour just as textured as the name suggests.”
