just as good as I thought it would be -- with a suprise "Peter Gabriel" bridge that's genius  -- bravo Antony!!

Lovely balance between breath and intensity—it grows unhurried and reaches far.

Love the bass, piano cluster chords & effects.  Don’t know whether you create the music first then decide what the song’s about or vice versa, but this is musical alliteration at its finest.  This SOUNDS sumo.  And cool slow-reveal teaser video…..but I knew right away, soon as the orange leg came into view.

This song is a Phish song written by Trey, Page, Fishman, and Tom Marshall, who wrote the lyrics. Originally, on their album Hoist, it's just Trey playing and acoustic guitar and singing. Stephen and I wanted to give it our own flavor though. After I asked him to play banjo on it and produce it for me, we started spitballing ideas about how we could add something more to it. Originally, we both played every instrument, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and piano, through the whole thing, except the first and last verses. Then we decided to trickle the instruments in for maximum effect. I also sang the harmonies throughout. Finally, Stephen came up with the idea to wrap the last verse in a mono effect, giving it a detached feel. He mixed it brilliantly, too.
  This song has always had a special place deep in my heart. Sometimes you hear a song and recognize such truth in it, it feels like it was written about you. This is such a song for me. Plus, it was written by my favorite band, Phish, so it has even more meaning for me. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Take Me Away

A friend of mine has a severely autistic son who is now in his early 20's. He can't speak and has the mind of someone around three years old- but that is determined by the way we think.  Who knows how complex his thinking really is.  His name is Lorenzo. He loves to do puzzles and listen to music. 

One afternoon as I was laying the piano track for this music,  my son was talking to the mother on speaker phone and Lorenzo could hear me playing the piano.  He stopped doing his puzzle to listen.  That is how he connects. He loves music. When I heard that I knew I needed to finish this music for him. I haven't seen this friend for a very long time but she is coming to visit in a few weeks and I will be meeting Lorenzo for the first time. I wonder,  will he recognize the music?

Tis a noble sport but it does have its downside. The lifespan of a wrestler is typically reduced by 15-20 years attributed to the health consequences of the sumo diet. They are also banned from driving cars partly due to being too big to fit behind a steering wheel.
