Glenn "Burnaz Brigante" Overby was born in the Bronx, New York. He was raised by his mother and father, who instilled a strong work ethic and family structure, that still resonates within Burnaz today. Burnaz began rapping at the age of ten, but his passion became more focused in High School. He was inspired by Biggie Smalls and often found himself on the corner on Fulton Avenue with the drug dealers, who erupted as he recited freestyles about their surroundings.

In addition to Biggie Smalls, icons such as Nas, Big L, Jay-Z, Kool G Rap, Rakim, EPMD, Busta Rhymes, The Lox and A Tribe Called Quest peaked Brigante’s interest in the craft. His music speaks to this as he blends many genres of music including R&B, Techno, Pop and Reggae.

He has worked on two mix-tape compilations with Hood Famous; “Makin’ Money This Year” (2006) and “We Up” (2008). Burnaz released his first solo mix-tape, “Book of Fire: Chapter One” in July 2013.  After a brief hiatus tending to the births of his children, he is back at it. His new mix-tape, “Son of Carlito” is set to debut February 2017.

 In 2017, Burnaz will be found on various stages across the Tri-State Area as well as the National level. We anticipate several performances at SXSW as well as A3C. Additionally, Burnaz had the privilege of working with Fred Da Godson and would like to work with like-minded talent in the near future. He admires the work of Dave East, Oun P, Young M.A., Don Q, A Boogie, and Kehlani
