Yu is developing her own unique industrial techno music style influenced by hard  metal rock,punk and all kind of music. Her unique DJ sets make the crowd into a voyage of industrial sounds with the strong dark underground atmosphere.

Our third edition this year gives us once again the opportunity to introduce you to our extended circle of friends. Yu Kawabata is a DJ with Japanese roots, she started her career in the clubs of Osaka, and then, as her career progressed, she played all the famous locations and events in Russia with her driving techno sets.
 
POOLcast listeners know that our podcast series also aims to be a platform for artists to present themselves outside their usual or publicly perceived areas. With her set for this POOLcast edition Yu Kawabata takes advantage of this opportunity as well. The mixture of ambient, IDM, drone and jazz creates a mood of departure, awakens the desire to discover and continually transports the listener to new worlds. Worlds that seem to be connected by something. Something that seems neither tangible nor explainable. Yet there is always the feeling that the sequence of worlds you are thrown into serves a purpose, from beginning to end. The purpose of encrypting a secret through each station, of sending a message to the listener and of creating a mood that the solving of a mystery always seems to be imminent.
