Tee Mango, the respected English DJ and producer, transforms his selected track with his trademark warm, analog-rich sound. The result is a deep house journey that unfolds gradually, rewarding patient listeners with subtle shifts in energy and atmosphere.

To celebrate the imprint’s 20th release, it only feels right for label head Pegasvs to be left in control, with ‘Extend and Play’ a wonderful representation of not only Pegasvs’ signature style but the start of a joyous new chapter for the label as it looks forward to another 20 releases.

Well known by now for his simmering and infectious house-laden cuts, ‘Extend and Play’ is yet another wondrous piece of house music that cuts across the genre’s horizon line with aplomb.

The title track unravels with a myriad of Jazz and funk fusion melodies nestled atop a delicate rhythmic section that never ceases to get the room shakin’.

‘Wonky Business’ is a slice of hands-in-the-air dance music that pairs infectious disco guitar riffs with infectious melodies and an irresistible bassline.

‘Hidden Sounds’ sits somewhere in the midrange between the previous two numbers, with driving chords sitting atop a rolling rhythmic bed that simply oozes energy and feet moving.

Finally, ‘Not Far Behind’ slides into view to facilitate a little trip into paradise, as euphoric pads and scintillating acid lines lift the listener to new heights of being.

[BM020] Pegasvs - Extend And Play

A quietly vital presence in Italy’s underground electronic scene, Nicola Penna — better known under a constellation of aliases including Future Jazz Ensemble, Nico Disco, and Nasty Boy — returns with a new chapter under his NBI moniker: Alphawaves, a four-track EP of introspective, deeply musical club material on Burnin Music.

Drawing on the dreamlike textures of early Italian deep house and the emotive pulse of Larry Heard’s productions, Alphawaves is an ode to mood and movement. Each track feels spiritually guided — a reflection of Penna’s rare craftsmanship as a multi-instrumentalist, and a welcome deviation from over-quantized electronic music.

These aren’t just club tracks; they are meditations in rhythm. Opening with lush pads, loose percussion, and warm basslines that recall the golden age of Italian Dream House, the EP also carries a timeless, soulful energy found in Penna’s previous work for labels like Sähkö, Native Tongue, and Ten Lovers Music. Burnin Music is proud to present part 2 of label head Pegasvs’ ‘In Search Of’ trilogy of releases, in which the producer continues his exploration of dance floor soundscapes via inventive, incisive and emotive house-laden cuts.

Building upon the infectious sounds contained within the ‘Extend and Play’ EP, ‘Music Not Numbers’ contains a strong series of thematic elements that run through its core, with a concise focus on mood, rhythm, and feel.

The title track, a subtle protest to the algorithm-driven consumption of music, packs a serious emotive punch with its vintage House-oriented chord style and expressive, upbeat drums.

‘Groove Theory’ almost feels like a continuation of the title track, with the strong vibrations carried over through yet another inspired chord progression and emphatic, hands-in-the-air energy.

'Lithuanian producer Pletnev might have some occasional fun under the various aliases of Ponty Mython and Moisk, but he here returns to his most central alias on 'When The Job Is Done', his latest EP.

Four bits of 90s-inspired ambient acid house, techno and breakbeat all collide into a wispy and cinematic foray through aetherial post-aquatic electronics. 

Wetness ('Water Can Keep Secrets Too') and dryness (the B tunes) both occupy the wax in equal, complementary measure.

All danceable, of course.

Dare we say, they're synthetic enough to evoke thoughts of what might happen if Laurie Andserson and Vangelis took eccies together.'

He arrives on Burnin Music with a stunning quartet of deep grooves ready for balmy summer daze and nites.

The title track jams along with insistent Rhodes chords and dubby chords and drum fills that give a nod to his time spent living and recording reggae musicians in Jamaica, while 'Side Effect' heads into dreamier territory with its chuggy tempo, '70s film score strings, twinkling electric pianos and guitar glissandos.

'Start It Up' recalls golden age hip-hop with its taut drum break and melancholy key scales and chords, and 'Green Time' finishes off in beguiling style with a hypnotic and darkly-tinged tribal rhythm.

PREMIERE: Pegasvs- Extend And Play

To celebrate the imprint’s 20th release, it only feels right for label head Pegasvs to be left in control, with ‘Extend and Play’ a wonderful representation of not only Pegasvs’ signature style but the start of a joyous new chapter for the label as it looks forward to another 20 releases.

Well known by now for his simmering and infectious house-laden cuts, ‘Extend and Play’ is yet another wondrous piece of house music that cuts across the genre’s horizon line with aplomb.

The title track unravels with a myriad of Jazz and funk fusion melodies nestled atop a delicate rhythmic section that never ceases to get the room shakin’.

‘Wonky Business’ is a slice of hands-in-the-air dance music that pairs infectious disco guitar riffs with infectious melodies and an irresistible bassline.

‘Hidden Sounds’ sits somewhere in the midrange between the previous two numbers, with driving chords sitting atop a rolling rhythmic bed that simply oozes energy and feet moving.

Finally, ‘Not Far Behind’ slides into view to facilitate a little trip into paradise, as euphoric pads and scintillating acid lines lift the listener to new heights of being.

Marseille-born, London-based Pegasvs marks his own label Burnin Music's 20th release with an EP that encapsulates his signature analogue style and ushers in a new era. He is well known for his infectious house-infused tracks and ability to bring in jazz, funk and disco influences and all that plays out here. The title track features intricate melodies and a rhythmic backbone that keeps the dancefloor vibing, 'Wonky Business' offers a hands-in-the-air vibe with its catchy guitar riffs and bassline, while 'Hidden Sounds' provides a deep, rolling groove. Closing with 'Not Far Behind' the EP reaches euphoric heights that show Pegasvs' evolution as a producer. Early support from Laurent Garnier, and Crazy P has already tipped this to be a big EP.

DC Promo Tracks: Pegasvs "Transition" feat Nathan Haines

Burnin Music proudly presents Transition, the new single from Pegasvs, featuring the inimitable Nathan Haines on saxophone and flute, a deep, soulful journey that marks the final chapter in Pegasvs’ acclaimed vinyl trilogy.

Written as a reflection on movement, change, and creative renewal, Transition captures the emotional landscape of an artist evolving through sound. The original version is a warm and melodic six-minute trip through soulful house textures, layered keys, and Haines’ fluid, expressive sax, a record built for that moment when the dancefloor exhales and reconnects.

On the flip, Tom Laroye (Futuristica Music / Local Talk) reimagines Transition with his signature jazz-tech fusion, fusing broken rhythms, deep house stabs, and afrobeat-inspired percussion into a sophisticated, floor-ready reinterpretation.

The release follows Pegasvs’ earlier 2025 EPs on Burnin Music, closing a trilogy that charted a personal sonic evolution, from introspection to uplift, from motion to transformation.

With an already eclectic catalogue of music just a mere three releases in, London-based imprint Burnin Music Recordings looks to continue that trend. Stepping up to the plate on the fourth release is label head, @pegasvs who is making his production debut. Featuring alongside him on the single “Drinking With My Eyes” is the multi-talented Xuli, a UK-based poet, singer and dancer.

Together, the two manage to create a strikingly contemporary piece of music which pulls from influences across varying areas of dance music, and is already drawing comparisons to acclaimed groups Hercules and Love Affair and Azari & III. Enlisted on remix duties is none other than French luminary producer, @hugo-lx, who delivers a deeper take on the original with shimmering cosmic leads, lush chords and a bubbly low end.

“Drinking With My Eyes” is not only meant to be consumed aurally, but visually as well. The accompanying video is a dazzling display of choreographed movement alongside unique lighting techniques that help to further engross the viewer. To top it all off, renowned fashion designer and Timberland’s creative director, Christopher Raeburn, provided the distinctive stylistic identity for the clip.

In short, “Drinking With My Eyes” is a modern triumph that comes as a complete package from top to bottom. A crossover with true global potential.
