I wrote ”Lost With You” for my first ex-girlfriend. It is meant to be a snapshot of the emotional high of a short-term relationship. “Lost With You” is that period of however many months it is where it feels like everything is just perfect, you know? I was listening to a lot of Joel Plaskett & Sam Roberts Band at the time, so I feel like that's where the pop/rock with a dash of folk came from in this song. So its whole purpose was just to be an upbeat, happy-go-lucky indie pop/rock song. I take this song as a reminder to cherish the good memories while you’re making them.
