When The Music Stops

"Bury Me Head First" began as a simple idea when multitalented musician Mike Status made the decision to front a metal project as lead vocalist. Together with his guitarist-songwriter cousin Albert "Alby" Ortega, he took the very first step towards forming the band he'd always dreamed of creating. When power drummer Michael Ray was added into the mix, the band was given a solid, technical edge inspired by the drummer's progressive style. And after finally recruiting guitarist/ engineer Kurt Torres to come aboard for a lineup of four, the band began meeting to write and rehearse in their practice spaces in both Hollywood and El Segundo, California.

Prior to coming together musically, individual members of Bury Me Head First have played will well-known acts such as In This Moment, Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions), Twiggy Ramirez (Nine Inch Nails), White Wizzard, and Conducting from the Grave.
