Ammo Camp

Business in Front started out in Chris's garage in Wellington, with one drum kit and one electric guitar ("Old Blue"). In early 2009, Matt and Chris started jamming together and wrote Ammo Camp. A few months later, Travis, Doug, and then Adam joined mid-summer. The name "Business in Front" was bestowed upon them by their unofficial band manager, Dave (there's nothing unofficial about it - I OWN YOU GUYS - smoochies, dc), at Old Chicago's after a softball game. They roll like that.

About a year after BiF was founded, Travis left the band to join a traveling circus (had kids). The late/great Bill Hepp (probably still alive) joined the band not long after, offering his awesome Ewok-village-like guest house as a practice venue. Another year or so later, Doug decided that he also needed to leave the band to pursue his lifelong dream of hating Adam and moving to Denver (JK, buddy). That's when Elisha "slappa da bass" Nottingham of Action Bastard fame strolled on in and slappa'd some serious bass.

Some time in 2012 (or 1997 or 2145 - cocaine's a hell of a drug), Matt decided to tear all of our hearts out of our chests and toss them in the compost bin (at least he was environmentally conscious). The Malcolm clan moved down to South Carolina, were there for 5 and a half minutes, then came right on back. In 2013, BiF picked up just about where it left off sans Bill (seriously, where is that guy?) and Elisha (now touring Europe, Seattle and Outer Mongolia with her other band, "Action Bastard".) 

Left with no bassist after Elisha's departure, BIF played as a 3-piece for a time. But they knew the rock they played required a heavier element. And from the wyld & coldest Steppes of Scandinavia, BIF discovered Jon, trapped in the gleaming glacier above the nearby Fjord. Upon his revival from a 1000 years of hibernation, Jon did play the bass mightily, joining the band in 2015. 

Thus ends the story of BIF, for now.
