To overcome hardships and progress in life at times we have to break through barriers and come out of our comfort zones and "Break The Cycle". 

Nothing great has ever come from being comfortable. Know your limits only to exceed them and breaking current life cycles is crucial for personal growth.

Buster Stokely - Break The Cycle Feat. Digo

Always over shadowed by the larger cities like Dallas & Ft. Worth, Buster comes from the small town of Denton, aka the Little D. He tends to let it be known that Denton is where he came from, he grew up there, and it is a large part of what he represents. With a thriving underground music scene, hipster vibes, grassroots bars and town square speakeasy's, Buster is proud to represent Denton to the fullest. Buster grew up and took a liking to Hip Hop music through the underdog skateboard subculture of the early 90's. His music influences include the likes of Nas, Mobb Deep, the Pharcyde, Heiroglyphics Crew, Wu-Tang Clan, Triple Six Mafia, all they way to and up through the 2000's with other influences such as 50 Cent, Hopsin, Die Antwoord & Kid Cudi. His lyrical approach is a gritty reality based depiction of his life and all the things he has seen and done. No corn ball bullshit here. Leaving Texas at the age of 19 to move to LA and breakdance on the streets in downtown hollywood, he would later move up to the cold winters of downtown Milwaukee Wisconsin, skateboarding and seeing everything and everywhere in between. Buster eventually made it back to Texas by the age of 25 with a strong appreciation for where he came from. His music endeavors didn't start culminating until the age of 30. With that said he has seen and done a lot in the time between. From drug addiction, to incarceration, losing friends to drug overdoses and wrecked cars from drinking and driving. In and out of mental health facilities for a bi-polar disorder, alcohol and drug support groups, county jails and the Texas Department of corrections. To the good side of his life going to underground EDM rave parties in Austin Tx, performing live breakdancing at the State Palace theater in downtown Hollywood in Los Angeles. To wakeskating and being on one of the many beautiful lakes of Texas, getting turnt up partying on Lake Lewisville's infamous Party Cove north of downtown Dallas with boats and hoes galore. Buster Stokely has seen and experienced a lot in his  lifetime and now he wishes to share it with the world through his music. The best is yet to come. Stay tuned and follow his journey.
