Busticles formed in 1997 with Jon Weil (guitar), Brandon Weil (drums) and Sunir Patel (bass) joining forces with Michael Ward (vocals) when they were in Sycamore High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.  After the addition of John White (percussion), Busticles released their first album, "Permagrin", and soon after progressed out of the mid-west and re-planted themselves in Tempe, Arizona in 2002. Busticles started playing shows in the Tempe/Phoenix area and recorded a second album. By the time "Fresh" was released in 2006, Busticles had established themselves as a self-sufficient beast of a band that handled everything on their own. Jon Weil (audio engineer extraordinaire) took care of the recording, mixing, and engineering, while Sunir Patel coordinated the majority of booking and managed public relations. Together the band wrote and produced all of their own material and offended many casual listeners.  
 Following the release of "Fresh", Will Sherman joined Busticles as guitarist, keyboardist and back-up vocalist.  After years of refining their style through constant writing and recording (and some live shows), Busticles has released their final installment, "Busticles".  Fittingly self-titled, this album covers everything in the Busticles spectrum and is the best representation of Busticles.  
In the last few years, Brandon and his wife now have two sons.  Also, two members have spread Busticles from coast to coast while relocating in pursuit of "professional" careers- Michael in New York City and Sunir in Los Angeles.  Jon, Brandon, and Will still reside in the Phoenix area and plan on going out to eat together soon. In the future we may see Busticles reunite for a gig or to record some more tunes, but as of now, enjoy the album!!!

"Busticles" was also recorded, mixed and mastered by Jon Weil at many studios including Uranus Recording of Tempe, Epicentre (in Phoenix) and a few home "studios" (Fuzzywallz Mastering- www.fuzzywallz.com). Michael Fearless provided additional engineering. From initial tracking to the final master, this work has taken about 6 years. The whole group made overall production decisions. This album was recorded digitally using Sonar (PC-based DAW), and was almost mixed "out of the box" on an Allen & Heath ZEDR16 mixing console, using both digital and analog effects. Mastering took place entirely at Uranus Recording using Pro Tools HD and Apple Waveburner. Tempe Tape and Disc handled the initial duplication.
